Stacey Thomson rose to fame in the 90s as Ranger Stacey on the beloved children's TV show Totally Wild.

While the former TV host lives a low profile these days, she recently appeared on social media looking a world away from her days donning her famous khaki uniform.

In an image uploaded to Facebook, Stacey, 61, cut a glamorous figure in a white sequin outfit alongside her Totally Wild co-star Ranger Tim Moore.

For an added touch of glamour, the former Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service ranger wore blue stone earrings and matching eyeshadow.

Queensland National Parks shared the photos after Tim announced his retirement after 42 years as a ranger and conservation communicator with the department.

In one beautiful picture, Stacey can be seen giving her TV partner a congratulatory peck on the cheek.

Ranger Stacey and Ranger Tim instantly won the hearts of viewers as hosts of Totally Wild, which premiered on Channel 10 in 1992.

Totally Wild ran for a whopping 27 seasons, finally ending in 2021, with Stacey fronting its animal segments since its debut.

Stacey was brought in after producers were impressed by her work as a ranger and education officer at the heritage-listed St Helena Island National Park in Queensland.

'I was kind of on loan, and I would go record a whole week of animal segments for Agro on Saturdays,' she told the Courier Mail in 2017.

In the same interview, she said the best thing about being Ranger Stacey was mentoring young people in the TV industry.

'We have a lot of young, new presenters coming through and I like mentoring them because it's their first job in TV,' she said.
'I remember how it was... a big learning curve,' she added.

Stacey later co-starred with Totally Wild's Agro, a puppet played by comedian Jamie Dunn, in the TV spin-off Agro's Cartoon Connection.

She also had a career as a public speaker who specialises in educating women about the environment and sustainability.

Back in 2024, Stacey gave a rare interview to Woman's Day soon after reaching her milestone 60th birthday.

'I'm very content,' the park ranger and TV host told readers.
'A lot of people don't like turning 30, 40 wasn't too bad, 50 was getting serious, 60, I'm just embracing it now.'

The beloved children's entertainer went on to reveal she still gets stopped in the street by fans.

'People who grew up watching Agro's Cartoon Connection and Totally Wild stop me on a daily basis to say they rushed home from school to watch me and I inspired them to love animals,' Stacey said.
