Real Housewives of Sydney star Sally Obermeder has opened up about the tiny lifestyle changes she recently made that saw her lose an incredible 22kg.

The veteran reality TV star, 53, recently shared a clip to social media in which she told fans that a tiny lifestyle change led to a significant improvement in her overall health and well-being.

'How did I lose 22 kilos? Over a period of time, I'd started to neglect myself, everybody else came first. I got to the point where I noticed I was dreading going to the park with the kids because they would want me to chase them,' Sally began.
'I would try to offer up any other alternative that basically involved me sitting down. I had lost my energy levels, muscle tone and get-up-and-go.'

The Sydney-born star then said she recognised that she needed to make some major life changes to 'feel good again'.

'I started to walk for 30 minutes, I was really low key about it. I am very much an all-or-nothing person. I challenged myself in this time to pull back and keep it very basic,' she said.

'We're not going to sign up for a million things, we are just going to walk but I am going to do it every single day, at a time that suits us.'

'The second part to improve your body is what I'm eating. I started to focus on protein and fibre at every meal.'

'I call them simple meals because they were repeatable and not overly complicated. I focused on fresh, whole ingredients.'

Sally finished by revealing she built a health 'tool kit' to ensure she met her weight loss goals and that after a few short months, she had already lost a whopping 22kg.

Many of Sally's followers took to the comments to congratulate her on her incredible work.

'You glow with vitality girlfriend xx,' veteran presenter Melissa Doyle gushed.
'Look amazing,' another gushed.

Sally rose to fame in the 2000s as a presenter on Sydney Weekender.
