Greeneville, TN - Rebecca Tipton recently received the highest honor from the Boys & Girls Club's Tennessee Area Council at its Hall of Fame ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee. Five new inductees were enshrined in the Tennessee Boys & Girls Clubs Hall of Fame for their lifetime achievements. The awards were presented during the Tennessee Area Council and Tennessee Hall of Fame dinner at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. The Tennessee Area Council is made up of Boys & Girls Club sites from across the state, serving over 35,000 children each year.

Rebecca Tipton is a lifelong resident of Greeneville and Greene County whose life and career reflect a deep commitment to service and community. Guided by her personal motto, "We are here for the kids," Rebecca has devoted nearly two decades of leadership to advancing the mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Greeneville & Greene County. She is married to Rick Tipton, retired from the Federal Court System and current Chairman of the Greene County Schools Board of Education, and is the proud mother of Jordan Tipton and daughter-in-law Ashley.

Rebecca is a graduate of South Greene High School and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from East Tennessee State University before becoming a Certified Public Accountant. She currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Greeneville Federal Bank, where she is widely respected for her leadership and expertise.

Rebecca is in her 19th year of service on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Greeneville & Greene County and has remained engaged at the highest level throughout her tenure. She has served on the Executive Committee since 2012 and has held numerous leadership roles, including six terms as President, six terms as Vice President, and three terms as Past President. In total, she has dedicated 15 years in executive leadership, helping guide the organization through significant growth and impact.

Her service has extended across nearly every aspect of Club governance, including the Human Resources, Finance, Bylaws and Constitution, and Program Committees. She has also served as long-time Chair of the Resource Development Committee and Co-Chair of the Celebrity Auction. Rebecca played a key role in the Club's current capital campaign, helping secure more than $1 million in community donations while contributing countless hours to planning and strategy.

Rebecca is known as one of the most dedicated and reliable board members, maintaining one of the highest attendance records and consistently showing up for the kids. She regularly volunteers at Club programs and special events, including Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Day for Kids celebrations. She has also been a strong presence at Tennessee Area Council meetings, Youth of the Year events, and statewide Tennessee Alliance activities.

Her service has been recognized at both the state and national levels. In 2020, Rebecca was named Tennessee Boys & Girls Club Board Member of the Year, and in 2014, she received Boys & Girls Clubs of America's National Service to Youth Award. Beyond the Club, she remains actively involved in the community through organizations such as United Way of Greene County, Gifts for Kids, Main Street Greeneville, AIDNET, Young Life, local schools, and her church.
