Report: Meghan Markle Series 'won't be returning to Netflix'

Meghan Markle's heavily promoted Netflix show will not be returning for a third series, sources have claimed.

The Duchess of Sussex debuted 'With Love, Meghan' in March, offering lifestyle tips from inside a rented £5million mansion near her Montecito home.

But insiders have now told Page Six that the 44-year-old's pet project won't be up for renewal - after the Duchess called it 'a lot of work'.

One insider claimed: 'It is not returning as a series. There have been conversations about holiday specials, but there's nothing in the works yet.'

Another source said: 'People will see similar cooking and crafting on Meghan's socials for the brand, but more bite-sized.'

Insiders explained Meghan would be concentrating on building her lifestyle brand, As Ever.

Critics slam Meghan's Netflix debut despite star-studded guest list

Following its launch, 'With Love, Meghan' quickly came under attack from reviewers who described it as 'gormless lifestyle filler' with a 'tangible desperation'.

The show ranked number 383 among all of Netflix's productions, with 5.3million global views in the first half of 2025, according to the streamer's official engagement report.

On the review-aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes, it received an overall 23 per cent approval rating.

The show has seen Meghan joined by top chefs including José Andrés, Roy Choi and Alice Waters, as well as some of her closest friends such as Chrissy Teigen, Mindy Kaling - and her mother, Doria Ragland.

The Duchess opened up about her love story with Prince Harry during series two, which was released last August, and also talked about her family with the celebrity guests on the show.

She revealed that it was Harry who said the 'L word' first and added that she really understood that she was falling in love with Harry, who she calls 'H', on their third date, which was a safari trip to Botswana.

Why Meghan rented a second home to film her Netflix series

The Netflix show was filmed in a rented home in Montecito, close to the Sussex's own mansion.

Although Prince Harry and their children Archie, six, and Lilibet, four, came along to watch filming on a number of days, none of them features in the show in person.

Prince Harry did appear fleetingly in the final episode of series one.

Meghan previously said in an interview with People in March that she opted not to film in their Montecito home to 'protect [her family's safe haven'.

Netflix said Harry & Meghan, which came out in December 2022, was a huge success with a total of 23.4million views, making it the most viewed documentary ever through its first four days and reaching the English Top 10 TV list in 85 countries.

But With Love, Meghan failed to break into Netflix's top 10 programmes - or even the top 300.

However, the Duchess said at the time: 'We're proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand.'

'My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally and celebrates our shared vision.'

A new chapter in print

Although a series renewal does not appear to be forthcoming, this has not dampened the Duchess's spirits as it was claimed earlier this month Meghan would release her first cookbook for adults in 2026.

The Daily Mail revealed 'Tips and tricks' about hosting at home were expected to form part of the product.

An insider said: 'Meghan is looking at a cookbook for early 2026 and there will be more lifestyle products coming in the spring'.

The Duchess of Sussex will widen the As Ever range she sells, especially in candles and homeware, the insider predicted.

Her wine offering is also expected to expand beyond her bottles of white, rosé and sparkling.

Meghan is known for her love of a full-bodied red wine - her former blog The Tig was named after one - with a California cabernet sauvignon rumoured to be in the pipeline.

Duchess to release 2026 cookbook amid brand expansion

But she will move away from her crepe and biscuit kits, which were among the first products she produced when her business launched in March 2025, the Daily Mail's source claimed.

Meghan's cookbook, likely to include recipes from her With Love, Meghan series plus other favourites she has devised at home, would be her first for adults.

When she moved to the UK after falling in love with Harry, she wrote the foreword for Together: Our Community Cookbook in the wake of the Grenfell fire disaster in London in 2018.

She has also written a children's book, The Bench.

'2026 is looking like another big year for her. There will be more wine and definitely more homeware too', the Mail's insider said.

'But she will ease off selling her biscuit and crepe kits'.

A representative of the Sussexes was contacted for comment.

The Duchess of Sussex launches $18 leather bookmark

The Duchess of Sussex has released the latest product in her As Ever range, a limited-edition leather bookmark retailing for $18 (£13.40) - and has already sold out, just minutes after launching.

The 'bespoke' piece is touted as a 'keepsake designed for those who linger, pause, and return', and is created in collaboration with a small British studio, Sbri.

It is crafted from 'supple black leather and finished with gold lettering written in Meghan's handwriting'.

The bookmark is also handmade in the UK, with 'sustainably sourced' materials.

'Our "Fell Asleep Here" Leather Bookmark was made in collaboration with Sbri, a small UK-based female-owned workshop specializing in handcrafted, made-to-order keepsakes,' Meghan shared in her As Ever newsletter.

The New Forest-based brand says it's 'all about celebrating the extra things in life'.

'Working with natural materials means each piece we make is completely unique. We hand-draw our designs in house then carefully print them onto beautiful British and Italian leather,' the workshop shared.

'And because we're made to order, it's up to you to add the finishing touches. Select the design, choose the initials; maybe write a secret message on the inside if you like; and we'll set about making.'

'With care but with speed too so you can get your pieces sooner and enjoy them for longer. An object of love with as much character as the person who owns it.'

Sbri also uses sustainably sourced vegetable tanned leather and makes everything in-house, ensuring full control over production.

Yesterday, the wife of Prince Harry teased the new product drop, telling her followers to 'save the date'.

Posting a cryptic message on the As Ever Instagram story and feed, Meghan shared a picture of a blank journal with the bookmark inside.

The picture was posted with the caption: 'For the chapters you want to savor most... 1.13.26.'
