The mystery woman who was onboard a luxury speedboat when it smashed into a moored yacht, killing a father-of-three, can now be revealed as his glamorous girlfriend more than twenty years his junior.

Shane Florio, 46, was behind the wheel of his $700,000 speedboat when it ploughed into a yacht moored on the Parramatta River on Sunday night.

His partner Cali Lloyd, 25, had been staying with Mr Florio at his multimillion-dollar waterfront mansion in Hunters Hill when the pair were involved in the tragic crash.

The impact was so fierce it sank the yacht instantly and tore open the hull of their own vessel.

Despite suffering serious injuries, the pair managed to call emergency services and drive the boat back to Mr Florio's $9million property before he collapsed.

Mr Florio was rushed to Royal North Shore Hospital, where he later died from catastrophic head and internal injuries.

Ms Lloyd was taken to the same hospital and is believed to have been released on Monday.

She has not returned to Mr Florio's mansion, where his ex-wife, children and loved ones have gathered to grieve.

The couple, who had been dating for more than a year often spent weekends together enjoying their lavish lifestyle complete with private helicopters, expensive holidays, and high-powered toys, including the very boat that would claim his life.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Ms Lloyd, a former model, worked for Mr Florio's demolition company, Home Demolitions, as a marketing strategist.

Her social media pages are filled with glimpses of the luxury life she shared with the successful Sydney businessman.

In September, she posted clips from what would be their final family holiday together taking his three children to Hamilton Island for a sun-soaked break.

In another haunting video, the couple are seen laughing and posing on the same speedboat that would later crash, with the song Forever Young by German band Alphaville playing in the background.

Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the tragedy but have found no evidence of drugs or alcohol.

They are examining whether speed was a factor, with CCTV capturing the devastating moment of impact.

'There's extensive damage to the front of the vessel, and the impact was so severe that it actually immediately sank the vessel that was on the mooring,' Acting Inspector Ryan Spong said.

The damaged 38-foot Brabus Marine Shadow 900 XC speedboat remains just across the river at a police facility.

Mr Florio, remembered as a larger-than-life character who 'lived life to the fullest,' leaves behind three young children.

His death sparked an outpouring of tributes led by his uncle Johnny.

'It's with the heaviest of hearts, my friend , nephew and brother, Shane Thomas Florio passes away last night. He definitely lived life to the fullest,' Johnny wrote online.
'We are all in shock and still can't believe it's true. We will miss you like crazy. Heaven has a new angel. Fly my brother fly.'

Shattered friends and workmates also paid tribute.

'You were there for me in my dark time, and I'm here for your family now,' a colleague wrote.
'Thank you for being my boss, the joker of the party and most of all my friend.'

Another friend added: 'From what I knew of Shane, he was a unit-and-a-half who loved to take life to the max.'

Others remembered Mr Florio as a doting dad who often shared photos and videos of being joined by his children on work sites on Home Demolitions' online platforms.

The fatal crash was one of several water-related incidents NSW Police attended over the October long weekend.

'If you're out on the water, abstain from drugs and alcohol, wear a lifejacket, slow down and know your safety equipment,' Insp Spong said.
