Jenn explained her feelings for Ryan and also asked Everleigh to play an important role in the wedding.
Jennifer Pedranti had a heart-to-heart with her only daughter about her plans to marry fiancée Ryan Boyajian.
The mom of five, 48, took her 13-year-old daughter Everleigh on a spa date to ask a very important question on the Sept. 25 episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. As Jennifer began to plan her wedding to Ryan -- who proposed in April 2024 -- she knew she wanted to incorporate Everleigh in a special way.
"When you get married, typically you have your best friend standing next to you," Jennifer began. "You're my best friend, and I want you to stand with me when I marry Ryan."
"I've never been to a wedding," Everleigh said. "My first wedding will be standing with you."
Holding her hand, Jenn asked how it felt knowing that she was going to be married to someone other than her childrens' father.
"It's just weird with you getting married again," Everliegh said as she teared up. "But I'm excited for you."
"You don't want me getting married again?" Jennifer wondered, but the teen insisted: "No, I do."
In a confessional, the two opened up about the complicated emotions surrounding Jennifer's divorce and soon-to-be new husband.
"My relationship with my dad is really good, so it's just weird to think about my mom getting remarried," Everleigh said, wiping away her tears. "Because I feel like you get married once, you have your family, like your dad and everything. So I feel like it's just weird in a way."
Jennifer acknowledged, "We were a really good family, and when that splits and then it gets to where there's no relationship at all anymore, truly, it's like mourning a death. Obviously."
At the spa, Jennifer told Everleigh the reasons she wants to marry Ryan.
"I want to be married again because I love having a partner in my life," she explained. "And I do feel like Ryan is my partner, where I felt like dad and I were parents. Marrying Ryan changes nothing. Nothing with me as your mom, me as the boys' mom. It doesn't change that I love dad; that dad feels like family for me. I will always fight for that relationship with dad."
"It's such a s--- trade because I'm finally prioritizing a relationship with a man who spends time with me; who's my best friend; and look at the collateral damage," Jennifer continued as she sat beside Everleigh. "It's in these moments where I feel like a failure. I feel like I let them down."
Everleigh, however, did not see it that way: "I don't think my mom's a failure. At all."
Jennifer then asked her daughter to be her maid of honor again.
"I want to marry my best friend and show you the best version of your mom, and I want to do that with you by my side," she declared, to which Everleigh smiled and replied, "Of course I will."
They pulled each other in for a long hug, and Jennifer gushed, "I just love you so much," before Everleigh repeated it back.
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
