Savannah Guthrie's emotional tribute to mom Nancy in celebration of her 80th birthday has resurfaced after she went missing from her home in Tucson, Arizona.

In a resurfaced clip from the Today show in January 2022, the co-host, now 54, applauded her mother's 'grit' and praised her 'daring and adventurous' nature.

With presenters Craig Melvin and Hoda Kotb by her side, Guthrie said that Nancy - who was abducted from her $1 million home late Saturday or early Sunday - lives a 'life of loyalty and integrity.'

'She is a consistent doer of the right thing and the hard thing,' she said. 'She's a truth teller, whether you really want to hear the truth or not.'
'She's quick and she's smart, she’s well-read, she’s curious about everything. She’s daring and adventurous. She’s willing to jet off anywhere, and I really do mean jet. She once got in an F-16 in Fort Wright.'

Born in 1942 in Fort Wright, Kentucky, Nancy turned 80 on January 27, 2022.

Guthrie previously credited her mother with helping her develop a strong bond to God and referenced her faith in the tribute.

'She has met unthinkable challenges in her life with grit, without self-pity, with determination, and always, always with unshakeable faith,' she continued.

The Today show host praised her mom's 'grit' in the sweet tribute which has resurfaced in the wake of her disappearance.

'She loves us, her family, fiercely, and her selflessness and sacrifice for us, her steadfastness and her unmovable confidence is the reason any of us grew up to do anything.'

'She's going to be embarrassed by this,' Guthrie added, 'but I hope a little pleased because when I think of her, I think of that old proverb, the one she taught me about the woman of noble character.'

'It says, "Her children will rise up and call her blessed"'
'And so we do. Happy Birthday, mom.'

Investigators have been searching for Nancy since late Sunday and have urged the public to come forward with any information they might have.

On Wednesday morning, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said that detectives are working closely with the Guthrie family.

He added: 'While we appreciate the public's concern, the sharing of unverified accusations or false information is irresponsible and does not assist the investigation.'

Nanos believes that Nancy is still alive as the search for the Today Show host's mother enters its fourth day.

In a resurfaced clip from the Today show in January 2022, the co-host, now 54, applauded her mother's 'grit' and praised her 'daring and adventurous' nature.

'We have nothing else to go on but the belief that she is here,' he told NBC. 'She's present. She's alive, and we want to save her.'

He noted that his department is taking all tips and leads very seriously.

'The leads we've got coming in are critical to us. They're valuable, and we're sharing those with the FBI and others,' Nanos said.

On Tuesday, he told press that authorities have 'got hundreds of leads' but no suspect has yet been identified.

Meanwhile TMZ claimed they had received a ransom note to their newsroom demanding millions in Bitcoin for the release of Nancy and demanding the cryptocurrency be sent to a specific address, which the outlet verified to be real.
