A former Emmerdale star has signed up for a new role in Coronation Street in an ITV soap swap.
Multiple actors have featured in both Weatherfield and the Dales - and now another can be added to the list.
Steve Evets has been cast as Shona (Julia Goulding) and Jodie's (Olivia Frances-Brown) long-lost father.
Emmerdale viewers will recognise him as Tom Shepherd, a role he played between 1998 and 1999.
As for Corrie, the sisters reconnected just last month and now another family member is being added to the mix.
In upcoming scenes, Shona will follow Jodie to a psychiatric hospital after becoming convinced she is hiding something.

Steve has been cast to play the estranged father of Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) and Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown)
Steve (pictured furthest to the left) is familiar to soap viewers for his role as Emmerdale's Tom Shepherd in the late 1990s
Upon arrival, however, Jodie reintroduces her sister to their estranged, now confused, father.
It is revealed how Jodie was left to take care of her and Shona's father after their mother left them behind.
Moved after hearing this, Shona reassures her sibling that she is now part of the family.
Steve, 66, who has also appeared in Brassic and Shameless, is currently set to appear in a single episode of Corrie to air later this month.
Although according to The Sun, the door is being left open for the character to be brought back.
Fittingly enough, mysterious newcomer Jodie made her debut during last month's explosive Coronation Street/Emmerdale crossover - known as Corriedale.
The historic episode saw the residents from both Weatherfield and the Dales, brought together in a catastrophic car pile-up, with several people not making it out alive.
But the biggest shock of the night, saw the return of Andrew Scarborough as Graham, six years after he was killed off from Emmerdale.
Hiding his face under his hood for the majority of the jam-packed episode, he was seen driving a van with a tied up Jodie, played by Olivia Frances Brown, in the back.
She managed to get out of her restraints and took off running into the woods with Graham in hot pursuit, before she was found by police officer Kit Green (Jacob Roberts).
Since the crossover, Corrie fans have discovered that Jodie and Shona’s link, with both women sharing the same tree tattoo.
But, the reason for why she was fleeing for her life from a seemingly back-from-the-dead Graham has yet to be revealed.
However, series producer Kate Brooks has confirmed that viewers will get answers about Jodie’s past and why Graham had her tied up in his van.
She told The Mirror: 'We will reference what happened, we'll find out exactly why she was in that van, we'll find out what her link to Graham is.
'We'll reveal what went on between them, and how Jodie ended up running for a life and what Graham's role was in it all. It's a story that goes on to be really big as we get into spring and summer.'
Since Corriedale, fans have found out about the sibling link between Jodie and Shona - with the pair sharing the same tree tattoo.
Jodie was reunited with her sister after being taken to the same hospital, after Shona went into premature labour after the crash.
Catching a glimpse of Shona in the corridor, she was seen frozen in shock, with the doctor saying she looked like she’d seen a ghost.
Confirmation that she was her long-lost sibling came this week, after Shona gave birth to a baby girl named Harper, and watching through the window, Jodie identified herself as the newborn’s auntie.
Coming to congratulate the family on their bundle of joy, Shona confirmed to her husband David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd): ‘I know who that is’ before Jodie added: ‘Hi sis’.
However, while Shona apologised for losing touch with Jodie, she declared it wasn’t a good time for the sibling to rekindle their relationship, telling her she’d get in contact when things had settled down.
The soap is expected to delve further into Shona’s past, as she finally reconnects with her sister after years apart.
Coronation Street airs on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
