For 15 years, SoundPeats has been quietly building a brand for affordable earbuds that consistently perform above their price. Now the brand has introduced the H3, a flagship pair of true wireless earbuds offering hi-fi levels of performance to rival wired earphones.
Each earbud is driven by two balanced armature drivers alongside a 12mm composite dynamic driver and Qualcomm's Snapdragon Sound with support for LDAC and aptX Lossless audio codecs. The H3 earbuds have, according to SoundPeats, the most advanced hybrid ANC with up to 55dB noise reduction.
The H3 earbuds build on the legacy of SoudPeats' H1 model from the acclaimed Opera series. Following global listener feedback, SoundPeats has developed a pair of wireless earbuds using two custom balanced armature drivers in each earpiece, working in tandem with a 12mm composite dynamic driver for the lower midrange and bass frequencies.
Built around Qualcomm's QCC3091 chipset, which supports Snapdragon Sound, LDAC, and aptX Lossless codecs for near-lossless audio quality. The earbuds can be controlled and customized using the PeatsAudio app, which has a 9-band graphic equalizer for real-time sound customization.
The H3 brings together a hybrid ANC system that uses six microphones for feeding ambient sounds into a feedforward and feedback design that delivers up to 55dB of ambient noise reduction.
Using the PeatsAudio app, users can choose between four ANC modes: Adaptive Indoor, Outdoor and Traffic. The Adaptive Mode uses AI to automatically adjust the level of noise cancellation based on noise in the surrounding environment.
The Indoor, Outdoor, and Traffic ANC modes provide flexible noise control for situations like commuting, working or relaxing. There is also a Transparency Mode that provides an awareness of surroundings without the need to remove the earbuds. The six built-in microphones with AI noise reduction and cVc 8.0 are there to ensure clear call quality.
The H3 has an ergonomically designed shape and each earbud weighs just 6 grams. There are five different sizes of silicone ear tips provided in the box to suit most ear canal shapes. The earbuds have an anodized aluminum nozzle designed to enhance treble. The earbud housing is a semi-transparent housing with metallic accents and showcases the internal structure.
With a fast-charging capability, the H3 earbuds can deliver two hours of playback from a 10-minute burst charge. A full battery will provide up to 7 hours of playtime, which extends to 37 hours with the charge in the H3 storage case.
Multi-point connectivity means the H3 can connect with two devices at the same time, while a 60ms low-latency Game Mode provides smooth audio-visual sync for gaming and watching movies. With an IPX5 water resistance, the H3 are tough enough to use when working out or exploring the great outdoors.
