Stacey Solomon shared her excitement when she received a surprise package from the Beckhams on Monday.

The TV personality, 36, had sent David a 'cringe' voice note on beekeeping after deciding to follow in his footsteps by getting a beehive and cultivating her own range of homemade honey.

After believing that he didn't acknowledge the Instagram message, Stacey had a lot to smile about when it turns out he did see the voicenote.

Sharing an update to her Story, she exclaimed: 'I've been sent a parcel from... the Beckhams. How sweet that he actually replied to an Instagram!'

Stacey then read out his handwritten card, which said: 'To Stacey and Joe, I hope you enjoy the honey and snacks. Lots of love, David Beckham.'

'I've got David Beckham's autograph! What a time to be alive!' she said.

She continued: 'There's two jars of honey, DB's Sticky Stuff and Sticky Vicky. I bet they are hilarious in real life, we need to go on a night out with David and Victoria.

'They're obviously funny. This is the best thing ever! Thanks David we love you.'

The TV personality has returned to the BBC with Stacey & Joe, a fly-on-the-wall docuseries charting her chaotic home life at Pickle Cottage - the sprawling Essex home she shares with husband Joe Swash and their four children.

And she found herself turning to Beckham for guidance after deciding to follow in his footsteps by getting a beehive and cultivating her own range of homemade honey.

Persuaded by older sister Gemma, a reluctant Stacey, decided to send the former Manchester United and England midfielder a voice note with the vague hope of getting an invite to his Cotswolds garden.

Opting to send him the message on Instagram, she said: 'I'm getting a beehive and I know you and Victoria have got bees and they're a big part of your life, so I just wondered if you had any top tips or advice.'

Visibly cringing, she added: 'I'm already regretting sending you this message because I know you'll never see it, or hear it, and if you do you'll probably think I'm a weirdo.'

Evidently embarrassed, she told her sister: 'I'm going to be blacklisted from all cool things now because I've just sent David Beckham the most loser-ish message.'

As expected, the former footballer failed to acknowledge the message - much to the relief of Solomon's husband.

'Damn right he didn't reply, he better not either,' he joked when asked if he had reached out. 'Hands off mate. I don't need David Beckham as competition! It's the last thing I need.'
'I've got dogs, ducks, the last thing I need is David Beckham.'
