Ever since the Pumpkin Spice Latte and the rest of the beloved fall goodies returned to Starbucks menus nationwide last month, customers have been clamoring for one forgotten flavor to make a comeback: Apple Crisp.
Back in August, when Starbucks teased the return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte along with other fall items on their Instagram page, the comment section was flooded with fans sharing their grievances that the yummy Apple Crisp wasn't included in the lineup.
"It's not fall without apple crisp," one person wrote. "guess I'll need to figure out how to make apple crisp shaken espressos at home."
"Where is the Apple crisp macchiato? Please please please say it's coming back!" another begged.
Well, ask and you shall receive. The disappointment from customers was so loud that the coffee giant announced on their Instagram page that the Apple Crisp flavor will officially return nationwide on October 14 -- but the catch is that it'll be back for a limited time while supplies last.
"You all for the last month," Starbucks wrote over a picture of a person bobbing for apples in an Instagram post.
"Wait did someone say apple crisp," the post's caption read.
The Apple Crisp offerings include the Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso and Apple Crisp Cold Foam in addition to a new Apple Crisp Protein Cold Foam.
It's unclear why Starbucks didn't initially include the popular flavor in the fall menu -- and how long it'll be around now that it's back. The Post reached out for comment.
Starbucks' Apple Crisp Macchiato made its debut in 2021 and has appeared on the seasonal menu in previous years.
After initially not including it on the fall menu, the company heard the fans' requests and is giving them what they want.
Fans can choose from a multitude of options with the beloved flavor, including the Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, Apple Crisp Cream Cold Foam and a new Apple Crisp Protein Cold Foam.
"Omg yess! I was so sad that it didn't come back this Fall," someone commented on Instagram.
"OMG THANK YOUUUUU!!! This has been one of my favorite drinks," another declared.
"Thank you for listening and bringing this back!!!! Love it and can't wait for 10.14.2025!!!" one wrote.
"Still mad you guys took it away even if it was for a short period I missed out on so many days without my Apple crisp," a fan commented.
"Thank goodness, I can finally enjoy the fall," someone wrote on food blogger Markie Devo's post about the return.
The Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso is made with Starbucks Blonde Espresso, featuring notes of apple, cinnamon and brown sugar, shaken and topped with oat milk.
The Apple Crisp Cream Cold Foam and Apple Crisp Protein Cold Foam can be added to any cold beverage, and the protein cold foam adds 15 grams of protein to a grande-sized drink.
The Apple Crisp Protein Cold Foam will launch just two weeks after the nationwide launch of Starbucks' Protein Lattes and Protein Cold Foam on Sept. 29.
After testing a protein cold foam at five locations in the US, the coffee giant will be rolling out permanent Protein Cold Foams and Protein Lattes.
Each Protein Cold Foam has 15 grams of protein per grande and comes in flavors like vanilla, chocolate, matcha, banana, brown sugar, salted caramel and sugar-free vanilla. They will contain anywhere from 15 to 36 grams per grande beverage.
Also on the fall menu is the beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte, the fan-favorite Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai and Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte, as well as a new Pecan Oatmilk Cortado and new Italian Sausage Egg Bites.
