Hollywood is currently in an era of age-defying 'undetectable' plastic surgery.

Stars like Lindsay Lohan, Christina Aguilera, and Kris Jenner have seemingly turned back the clock by debuting flawless new looks in recent years.

However, one of Tinseltown's top plastic surgeons has warned that not everything is as it seems.

During an appearance on The Face with Alex Pike podcast, Dr. Ben Talei said that a lot of people are being misled by filters and AI.

'Some of it is filters, still today, even if they've had surgery,' he said.
'And you think, "Oh my god, how did she get that surgery done?" And I'm like, "Dude, I saw her two weeks ago and that's not what she looks like",' he added.

Dr. Talei continued, 'It's not like these people look bad. There's a lot of beautiful people and they look great, but when you see some of the results and you're like "wow", it's unrealistic.'

The Beverly Hills-based surgeon said that some people have unrealistic expectations now due to social media filters.

'You're not gonna look like that. That doesn't work,' he added.

The Beverly Hills-based surgeon said that patients are coming to some surgeons for procedures and unrealistically expecting to look like the filtered images that they're seeing on social media.

Just last month, a renowned plastic surgeon cast doubt on Kris Jenner's dramatic new look -- accusing her of using AI tools to manipulate images and 'create unrealistic expectations'.

The Kardashians matriarch caused a meltdown when she appeared in Paris back in May looking decades younger than her 69 years.

Social media commentators begged to know the name of her doctor -- and even suggested Jenner had discovered 'the fountain of youth'.

Her representatives later confirmed she had enlisted celebrity plastic surgeon Dr Steven M Levine -- also known as 'the facelift maestro' -- to achieve her new look.

However in a viral Instagram post, Dr Gary Lawton suggested 'AI tools or morphing software' had been used to alter pictures and videos of the star.

Khloe Kardashian has also admitted to heavily filtering her photos in the past

The San Antonio-based surgeon said the pictures published worldwide showcasing her new look 'defy all surgical and anatomical realities'.

Dr Lawton, who gives practical advice and debunks beauty trends to his 548,000 followers on the platform added: 'There is no possible way that this is a surgical transformation'.

Jenner has neither confirmed or denied that she has undergone surgery recently, but she's not the only Kardashian to be accused of filtering her photos.

Khloe Kardashian has repeatedly been accused of over-filtering her social media selfies, most infamously in a 2020 post.

She recently admitted that she used to Photoshop all of her posts, but now says that she’s pulled back a lot.

'There was a time that I definitely did. There was a time that I was around some people that would make me feel like I needed to,' she recently said on her podcast.
'I also think it was the era, too. I felt like a lot of people were photoshopping, or heavily photoshopping, more than they do now,' she continued.
'I do feel like there was a time that we all just got consumed in this filter lifestyle, and we couldn’t see ourselves without a filter.'

Other stars who have been accused of filtering their social media photos include Kim Zolciak and 90 Day Fiance's Darcey and Stacey Silva.
