Teddi Mellencamp was 'shaking' like a leaf when she nervously sang a cover of her famous father John's biggest hit song Jack & Diane during Wednesday's episode of The Masked Singer.
And the 44-year-old nepo baby made sure the 74-year-old Grammy winner was seated right by her side on the couch to watch her get 'nice and embarrassed' performing before being eliminated and unmasked as Calla Lily on the Fox celebrity singing competition.
'I flew all the way here for it from Indiana,' John claimed as Teddi laughed: 'Lies!'
Jack & Diane spent four weeks on the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1982, launching the heartland rocker's 40-year career and subsequent formation of the organization Farm Aid.
'He's like, "Don't go out there trying to think that you're a singer. Just go out there and sing the song the way you would if you were singing along. Have fun,"' the RHOBH alum told Us Weekly Wednesday of his advice.
'My dad said, "Just sing loud and proud, and if you don't hit a note, you don't hit a note, but as long as you're giving it your all, that's what matters." And so that's what I was doing.'

For the January 14 episode, Teddi sang a cover of Rachel Platten's 2015 hit Fight Song - inspired by her own stage IV cancer battle - which John 'thought was great.'
'I'm probably even going to get emotional talking about it,' the Two Ts in a Podcaster confessed.
'I'm almost a year [after] having all my cancer surgeries, but it's been a fight, and I wanted to be able to share the softer side, but also [show] you can work really hard and do the things that you want to do still.'
The Masked Singer shocks as Calla Lily revealed to be Bravo superstar
Teddi previously revealed on the October 3 episode of her podcast that there was 'no detectable cancer' in her body, but she still had another year of immunotherapy treatments.
But the real reason the Bravo-lebrity decided to do The Masked Singer is because it's her children's favorite TV show, and it didn't take them long to recognize their own mother's voice.
'They were like, "Don't even try to fool us. We know,"' Teddi recalled.
The Pfizer paid partner and her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave remain focused on their three children - daughter Slate, 13; son Cruz, 11; and daughter Dove, nearly six - as well as his daughter Bella, 17 (with Christina Mecklenburg).
Teddi and the 48-year-old Skyline Security CEO continue to share their $6.5M Encino marital home after pausing their divorce due to her ailing health.
The avid equestrian and Arroyave's 13-year marriage reportedly crumbled after her rumored months-long affair with her horse trainer Simon Schröeder (while his wife Karli Postel was pregnant with their second child).

Postel reportedly 'found text messages on Simon's phone that exposed the affair' and they confessed when she confronted them about it.
'I've never talked about it at all,' Teddi confirmed on The Jamie Kern Lima Show August 5.
'And I've never wanted anybody to have a guarantee whether it happened or didn't happen, but what I can say is, did I do things that hurt other people? Yes.'
The RHOC guest star continued: 'To this day, does it still hurt my heart and I wonder if that's why it got cancer? Yes, like it was my payback...nothing goes without payment.'
