An influencer who has branded himself as a globe-trotting fertility entrepreneur is charging up to $10,000 a month to teach men how to become 'elite level' sperm donors, the Daily Mail can reveal.

Charismatic Daniel Bayen - who goes by the moniker 'Donor Dan' online - is offering a 'platinum standard' program that includes guaranteed matches with women wanting to conceive, international promotion and full legal and medical support.

The health and fitness fanatic claims the most sought-after men on his Open Donor Association website can make up to $100,000 a year traveling the world siring children - and that 800 female 'recipients' have already signed up to his non-profit organisation.

Critics however fear the scheme will draw in people attracted to the unregulated fertility industry for the wrong reasons.

In an exclusive interview Dan, 25, said: 'An elite level donor is someone who is very healthy, very intelligent and in high demand in the reproductive marketplace.

'Usually, recipients are looking for a donor who is not just healthy and intelligent but also attractive and tall.

'We have all sorts of donors in our community, but only eight donors that we actively refer to recipients because they meet that gold standard when it comes to testing and health.

'And when you compare them to general donors, I consider them elite because they are the best of the best.'

Daniel Bayen, known online as 'Donor Dan', offers men an online program to help them become what he calls 'elite-level' sperm donor

The 25-year-old is based near Miami, but travels around the country, as well as Europe and Asia to 'assist families'

US citizen Dan founded a vintage clothes company in Germany where his mother lives when he was 19, but he now spends a great deal of his time in Florida with his 27-year-old girlfriend.

He came up with the idea for the association after he became a donor for the first time 18 months ago and since then, he has conceived 20 children with 18 families in multiple countries while racking up thousands of followers on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, where he posts about his glamorous lifestyle and donation trips across Europe, the US and the Far East.

He charges between $1,000 and $30,000 for a single donation and, having grown up as one of 22 kids conceived by his California-based, sperm donor dad, he wants to sire children with women all over the globe so his own offspring can grow up with as many brothers and sisters as he did.

Of his partner, he said: 'She's very supportive of it.

'We want to have children soon and she's happy they will get to have half-siblings all over the world.

'You could compare it to having cousins. I have 21 half-siblings myself and one full brother and I have the same relationship with my half siblings as I have with my cousins.

'When we first met, my girlfriend was worried I would be too involved or the mothers would be too interested in involving me, but she has seen that the mothers really just want their own families.

'She's been to meetings with recipients - I normally meet the mothers before I agree to the donation process - so it's cool.

In addition to preaching ethics and high standards, the online guru makes no secret about how there's 'a lot of money to made in the fertility industry'

On social media, Bayen regularly posts videos from luxury destinations, promoting openness, donor-recipient relationships and the 'pride' he feels in his contributions

'Before I met her, I thought that being with a donor was a no-go for most women in the dating market.

'But there is a large majority of women who think it shows that - as other women want to work with him he might be a healthy father for my children as well.'

Dan classes himself as 'an open donor,' meaning one who allows the biological children he conceived through artificial insemination to contact him.

He added: 'I'm the first open donor conceived donor. My father reached out to me when I was 15 and he has been in contact since.

'Open donor to me means that the children can reach out to me whenever they want, that I share all medical reports and that I'm open to helping if they need any support, blood transfusions or documentation to get a passport - I have Canadian, German and US citizenship.

'My tests are public through the link on my bio on Instagram and I share my experiences on Instagram and Facebook.

'That's my definition of it,' but when sperm banks refer to open donors it normally means open ID at 18.'

He mainly meets recipients online including through social media sites where single and gay women wanting to become mothers - or those who have struggled to conceive with their partners - search for strangers willing to supply semen.

The spermfluencer claims donors can earn up much more through his program than as anonymous sperm bank contributors

Bayen is a product of a sperm donor himself and says he 'sees no harm' in a person having 100 to 500 siblings out in the world

In some cases, they will pay tens of thousands of dollars for a single batch as they consider this method to be more efficient and less costly than going through a sperm bank.

But critics claim the unregulated market is open to abuse, with the men involved often pushing to donate through 'natural insemination,' or full sex, while mothers can surprise donors with lawsuits and demands for child support.

One source inside the donor community slammed Dan's Open Donor Association for charging up to $5,000 a month for platinum standard guidance and $10,000 for a Life Donor Program that includes a 'dedicated donor agency.'

Meanwhile, potential mothers willing to pay up to $10,000 in expenses are offered access to so-called 'elite donors' with the 'highest fertility' as well as 'celebrity-level profiles.'

The insider said of Dan: 'He's taking advantage of vulnerable young men that probably don't have much experience with the opposite sex.

'He's saying, 'Take my course and you can fly around the world meeting women and making loads of money just like me.'

'And he claims you can make $20,000 for one donation, but that's not realistic.'

Dan admits he lives between countries as 'the risk of donors or recipients suing is just too high'.

Online, Bayen writes that he is 'not a co-parent' and 'simply wants to help families grow with love, health'

Even as a non-profit, the reproductive market is full of laws and mistakes people can make, so I have to avoid that liability.'

But he insists his detractors are motivated by envy, saying: 'Our policy for natural insemination is that we support artificial insemination at home.

'We are about safety, respect and professionalism.

'We do not allow donors to say I only want natural insemination or to push for that, but ultimately it's a choice between two adults, if they want to do that I am not going to intervene,' he insisted.

'If someone was reported for pushing for natural insemination, I would ban them but so far that hasn't happened. I don't offer natural insemination.

'In the open donor industry there is a lot of jealousy when someone like me is seen doing things very differently.

'Recipients come to me because they know what supplements I take; they know that I only eat organic food; they know that I work out every day; they know that I go to good gyms.

'Also,I am willing to help with whatever they need.I will connect half-siblings together;I have one healthiest networks recipients.

I don't have drug addicts criminal recipients, happens other donors industry-get lot low quality unhealthy recipients then cause drama problems.

They also appreciate brother Cambridge graduate going Yale soon mother professor psychology. All work aimed best available donor.

When I became donor realized early there huge demand healthy quality open donors lot sketchy unhealthy donors industry doing suppress young guys trying start out.
