"If you want to see your child again, you will cooperate." The terrifying reality of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe's six-year detention in Iran is told in this polished drama, which she helped produce. Narges Rashidi captures Nazanin's fear, confusion and resilience after she is taken away from her baby daughter at the airport and accused of being a spy. Meanwhile, Joseph Fiennes plays her husband, Richard Ratcliffe, who is back home in London campaigning for her return.
8pm, BBC Two
The comedian and Strictly champion also has a background in computing and a degree in software engineering. "I'm a geek," he says, as he explores the new technology that could help him to live more independently with a degenerative eye condition. Chris heads to the US to test a self-driving car and tries on glasses that talk.

It's kids week: contestants have just 12 hours to crochet elaborate fancy dress costumes for toddlers. Never mind Di and Sheila - how will the "feral two-year-olds" react to Lydia's lion romper suit, Holger's fox costume and Ailsa's frankly brilliant zebra? Plus, they make interactive wall hangings for a children's bedroom.

We're in the Hendersons' cabin this episode, where parents Rachel (Shauna Macdonald) and Ian (Jamie Sives) are attempting to repair the trust broken by his financial misdeeds. This leaves their secretive, hormonal offspring to make their own reckless decisions, such as kayaking alone on the loch or meeting up with a mysterious man in the woods.
10pm, Sky Max
It has been more than a month since the dead came back to life in Wisconsin, and the governor has finally decided to go full jackboot. Martial law hobbles the efforts of Dana to help her ailing "revived" sister. But it does create space for a cathartic row with her overbearing dad, Sheriff Wayne.

More Alan Carr: this time, it's the return of his hilarious semi-autobiographical comedy. It's 1989, and teenage Alan (Oliver Savell) has reached his "saucy era". He assumes women are like olives: "They turn your stomach at first but you learn to love them." But his true crush is on Jake in the Athena shop.
The Barefoot Contessa, 2.55pm, Sky Arts
The very first scene in Joseph L Mankiewicz's 1954 film is the funeral of the titular movie star. So tragedy is baked into a cynical drama in which Spanish nightclub dancer turned Hollywood icon Maria Vargas (Ava Gardner) is seen through the eyes of the men who help or hinder her. Humphrey Bogart is at his world-weary best as director Harry; PR man Oscar (Edmond O'Brien) and Italian count Vincenzo (Rosanno Brazzi) also recall their time with an ultimately unknowable woman.
