During a special selection show live interview with ESPN, Nebraska setter Bergan Reilly credited head coach Dani Busboom Kelly for helping push the team to its undefeated record.

"She wants to change it up - change up the routes and keep the defense on their toes," Reilly said. "It's been really fun to set, and our hitters have done a great job of adjusting to that."

Both Nebraska and Creighton earned automatic bids after winning their respective conference titles this season.

The Huskers will aim to keep up their momentum heading into the tournament play. The team has recorded 30 straight wins - the fourth-longest streak in school history.

On Saturday, Nebraska closed out its unbeaten regular season with a sweep of Ohio State during senior night, which honored graduating players Rebekah Allick, Maisie Boesiger, Taylor Landfair and Allie Sczech.

Following the quick match at the Bob Devaney Sports Center, Husker fans also celebrated the team's outright Big Ten Title win. Nebraska earned its third-straight Big Ten Championship after its win on Nov. 22 against No. 17 Indiana.

The 2025 Husker season marks only the third time in program history - joining the 1994 and 2000 teams - that the team has finished regular season play without any match losses. Throughout its entire season, the team only dropped seven sets. During Big Ten play, the Huskers lost one set.

Nebraska is the first Big Ten team to go 20-0 in conference play since Penn State's 2009 season. This season was the Huskers' first unbeaten conference season since 2004 in the Big 12. This is head coach Busboom Kelly's first season at the helm, marking her first undefeated regular season as the Huskers' head coach and her second undefeated regular season overall in her nine-year head coaching career.

Nebraska has led the American Volleyball Coaches Association rankings at No. 1 for the entire season.

After starting the season with a few losses against ranked teams Penn State, Texas, USC, Nebraska and Louisville, Creighton slowly regained its form later in the season, moving back up in the AVCA rankings to No. 12.

The Bluejays are also on a hot streak, winning the team's last 20 matches. Creighton took home the Big East title on Nov. 23 when it swept Xavier. The championship win marked Creighton's sixth consecutive Big East championship win. The team has now won 11 of the last 12 Big East tournaments.

Looking nationally, the streak of championship wins is the longest active streak of league tournament title wins, and the longest in the Big East since Pittsburgh won seven straight from 1988-94.

Along with the Huskers, the Bluejays are also being led by a new coach this season in Brian Rosen, who replaced Kirsten Bernthal Booth earlier this year.

The Nebraska and Creighton teams had several players selected in the National Volleyball League draft last week.Rebekah Allick is speculated to be picked up in the LOVB Volleyball league, which has a team based in Omaha.
