1. (1) Baker County (16-0, Class 4A)
Notable wins: Atlantic Coast (twice), Baldwin, Bartram Trail, Bishop Snyder, IMG Academy, Middleburg, Paxon, West Nassau, Yulee.
Glance: Four more wins since our last Super 6, with quality Ws over Atlantic Coast (4-3) and Paxon (2-0). They've got a difficult test against Montverde Academy on Tuesday. They round out the week against Hilliard and Atlantic Coast. Baleigh Shields (.529) has been at the same consistent pace all season. Chloe Johnson (.458) follows Shields and has belted four homers.
2. (2) Columbia (14-3, Class 4A)
Notable wins: Bartram Trail, Branford, Gainesville, Ridgeview, Venice, Williston (twice).
Glance: The Tigers saw their 10-game winning streak end with a 4-0 loss to an always tough Bartow. They bounced back with a 17-0 blowout of Bronson. They're back in action against Buchholz on Thursday and then have a good one against West Nassau on April 9. Alannah Lord (.500, 3 HR, 22 RBI) and Luisa Taylor (.455) lead the offense. Ryleigh Stone and Kinley King are a combined 12-3 in the circle.
3. (5) Baldwin (12-4, Class 2A)
Notable wins: Atlantic Coast, Bishop Snyder, Middleburg, Paxon, Sandalwood, West Nassau, Yulee.
Glance: The Indians have won four consecutive games, including three quality Ws over West Nassau (4-3), Bishop Snyder (10-2) and Sandalwood (6-2). Big games against Episcopal (April 8) and Oakleaf (April 9) up next. Jazmine Ramos-Merced (.420, 3 HR), Hayden Peebles (.393), KK Fry (.339) and Lily Hubbard (.327) lead the offense. In the circle, Hubbard is 9-3 with 65 Ks and a 2.31 ERA in 75.2 IP.
4. (4) University Christian (11-3, Class 1A)
Notable wins: Bishop Snyder, Fleming Island, Jensen Beach, Madison County (twice), Sandalwood, Sickles, Yulee.
Glance: The Christians had losses to high quality teams in Spruce Creek, Liberty County and West Nassau. They also had quality Ws over Jensen Beach, Sickles and Madison County. UC plays in the state's second-smallest classification, but they're banging with teams far bigger. Piper Tessier (.489, 15 RBI) and Sinai Tunsill (.450) are atop the offensive leaders. Dixie Tessier (6-0, 47 Ks, 36 IP, 0.97 ERA) is leading the Christians in the circle.
5. (NR) Creekside (15-3, Class 7A)
Notable wins: Arnold, Baldwin, Fletcher, Mandarin, Sunlake, Tocoi Creek, Yulee.
Glance: The Knights have won seven straight, including quality Ws over Baldwin and Middleburg in that span. The back side of the schedule has some tough games, including UC and Bishop Snyder to end the regular season. Presley Brinkley is hitting .511 with three HRs and 16 RBI, all team highs, to lead Creekside. Isabella Seymour is 10-3 with a 2.21 ERA and 49 Ks in 85.1 IP in the circle.
6. (3) West Nassau (9-5, Class 3A)
Notable wins: Atlantic Coast, Baldwin, University Christian, Yulee.
Glance: The Warriors went 1-2 since our last Super 6, losing to Middleburg and Baldwin and beating UC. They stay in the mix this week as they head into the Kissimmee Klassic. Olivia Urbina (.455, 3 HR), Teagan Harter (.408) and Lauren Rosepiler (.404, 7 extra-base hits) lead the Warriors.
Dropped out:Paxon (9-4, Class 4A).
