Vince Zampella welcomed three children with his ex-wife, Brigette Zampella.

The Zampella family is grieving a devastating loss.

On Dec. 21, Call of Duty co-creator Vince Zampella died in a car crash in California. He was 55.

According to a preliminary investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Vince's red Ferrari veered off the roadway just after exiting a tunnel in the San Gabriel Mountains, struck a concrete barrier and became fully engulfed in flames. Zampella was trapped in the vehicle and died at the scene, while the passenger was ejected and later died at a hospital, per NBC4.

"This is an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, his loved ones and all those touched by his work," Electronic Arts, the parent company of Vince's Respawn Entertainment, told PEOPLE in a statement.

Vince is survived by his ex-wife, Brigette Zampella, and their three children: Quentin, Kyle and Courtney.

Here's everything to know about Vince Zampella's family, including his ex-wife and kids.

Vince and Brigette were previously married for 18 years. Brigette filed for divorce in 2015, citing irreconcilable differences, per TMZ.

At the time, Brigette requested spousal support.

Vince and Brigette welcomed three children before their marriage ended. At the time of Vince's death, their older son, Quentin, was 26. Meanwhile, their younger son Kyle was 22 and daughter Courtney was 19, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Kyle is the co-founder of Production Club -- a company that designs and produces music-based parties, shows and experiences around the world -- as well as PhatMojo, a licensee of popular toys and collectibles, per his LinkedIn.

In 2011, photographer Tara Rochelle captured a family photo session with Vince, Brigette and their three children. She later reflected on the shoot in a blog post praising the "beautiful family" and offering glimpses into each child's personality.

Rochelle described Quentin as "more serious and quiet," while noting that Kyle, though he didn't enjoy being photographed, was "so photogenic and such a cutie."

Courtney, she added, stood out as "a total ham mixed in with some top model/diva attitude."

Following Vince's death, Courtney and Kyle honored their father with heartfelt social media tributes.

"My best friend. Forever & always," Courtney wrote on her Instagram Stories alongside a silly selfie with her dad.

Kyle also posted a photo with Vince on X, capturing the father-son pair together on an amusement park ride.
