Thumping house music, free flowing booze and sweeping views of San Antonio bay have turned it into a bucket list destination for the Balearics bound under '30s.

It could only be O Beach Ibiza, the raucous outdoor day club originally launched by entrepreneur Wayne Lineker - brother of former footballer Gary - in 2012.

Now back in England after giving up his life in the Spanish islands, Lineker, 63 - who recently confirmed he is sober after a spell in treatment - has reflected on his best and worst experiences as owner of the landmark venue in a series of social media posts.

Engaged in a Q&A with followers on Monday, the club owner fielded a series of questions - from will you ever drink again? to funniest O Beach memory? - before one follower asked him to name his best and worst celebrity guests.

'Well, the best person, or the most famous person ever, is Ed Sheeran, and he randomly sang on the stage that day, as well. I'll never forget it,' he told followers.

Recalling the worst, Lineker admitted TV personality Scott Thomas - older brother of Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas - took the crown, and with good reason.

Wayne Lineker has revealed the best and worst celebrities to have visited his legendary day club, O Beach Ibiza, since it opened in 2012.

Lineker claimed TV personality Scott Thomas was 'not the worst, but the most misbehaved and most hilarious' - and with good reason.

'He's the only person who's ever been thrown out of O Beach three times in one day, and that's an incredible achievement,' he said.

The famous party man revealed last month that he is two months sober after secretly entering rehab earlier this year.

Now, Lineker admits it is no longer possible to stay in Ibiza while living a sober lifestyle and has made the decision to leave the island - and his club - as he 'needs a little more time to heal'.

Sharing the news of his departure in October, he posted a picture of himself at O Beach with the accompanying caption: 'So I made the decision to leave Ibiza this morning before the island won again.. Living my former Ibiza lifestyle is now impossible for me.'

'Walking into Ocean is very different for me now being sober. Honestly, I thought I would be able to cope with it, but I found myself becoming a little bit miserable - hiding in the restaurant or leaving early which is totally not my character at all.'

Now back in England after giving up his life in the Spanish islands, Lineker has reflected on his best and worst experiences as owner of the landmark venue in a series of social media posts.

The club owner named singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran as the best celebrity to visit O Beach.

Lineker admits it is no longer possible to stay in Ibiza while living a sober lifestyle and has made the decision to leave the island - and his club - as he 'needs a little more time to heal'.

'It's tough being the centre of attention too for all those people when they are shall we say "very merry".. that mixed with the music, the sunshine, the shows, the dancers, the vibe, the venue, the orange cups in the air surrounded by what seems an eternity of bikinis makes it very very difficult.'

He added: 'In rehab therapists talk about triggers, which basically means staying away from environments, places, certain people, events etc that will lead to temptation - and let's face it, there is no bigger trigger in the world than Ocean for me.'

'One day I'm hopeful I'll find a new version of myself that can step back into the beating heart of Ibiza. but for now, I just need a little more time to heal... and that's what recovery is.'

'If there's anyone out there reading this who's in a similar spot, it's ok; you can face your demons. Get yourselves help .. going to rehab was the best decision of my life!'

Discussing his next steps, Lineker went on to reveal he is returning to the facility where he attended rehab to record a podcast about his journey.

He said: 'Next week I am going back to Priory Life Works @priorygroup and doing an interview/podcast with their production team, Priory Life Works Surrey where I spent 6 weeks in recovery to do a special interview and tell my story; the journey I walked sharing how rehab changed my life and ultimately kept me alive.'

Sharing the news of his departure, Lineker posted a picture of himself at O Beach and wrote: 'So I made the decision to leave Ibiza this morning before the island won again..'
