Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have kept their relationship under the radar despite intense public scrutiny.

While they did pose together on red carpets before their romance was revealed, the pair have not yet walked a red carpet as a couple despite being together for several months.

Insiders are now claiming that the Wolverine star, 56, and his ladylove, 50, are nervous to make a public debut.

'Sutton is still nervous about taking that big step into Hugh's world,' an alleged source told New Idea this week.

The couple have dodged invites to the Oscars, the Met Gala, and the Tony Awards, the publication claims.

That could all change soon, with Hugh reportedly hoping to have Sutton by his side at the premiere of his new movie, Song Sung Blue, at the AFI Fest in Hollywood on October 26.

'It's a big moment for him, and he wants to share it with the woman he loves,' the source claims.

Just days ago, the couple put on a united front as they arrived together at LaGuardia Airport, New York.

The pair, who hadn't been seen together since May, were seen joking and laughing as they made their way through the arrivals terminal, luggage in tow.

Attempting to fly under the radar, the Australian star covered his face beneath a baseball cap and black face mask.

Hugh began dating the US actress in late 2024 after splitting with his wife Deborra-Lee Furness in September 2023.

It comes after reports surfaced that Hugh and Sutton's budding romance has hit a rough patch, with the pair reportedly feeling pressured by the public scrutiny of their relationship.

'It's always hard dating in the public eye... but when you add their whole backstory and what they've put on the line as far as their reputations, the pressure rises,' an insider told Life and Style magazine earlier this year.

They added the pair were finding it challenging to keep the romance alive due to work commitments, including Jackman spending several months in Ireland to film a movie.

Insiders are now claiming that the Wolverine star, 56, and his ladylove, 50, are nervous to make a public debut - but they may do so in October

'Being apart for an extended period of time can be tough on any couple. There's a lot of harsh judgement about them online,' the source added.

'Now, there's a sense they have something to prove.'

The couple, who were first romantically linked in October last year, are said to be 'madly in love', according to US Weekly.

'They're not officially living together but spending a lot of time together,' an insider told the publication, adding that the pair are 'relieved and happy' to have made their relationship public after the furtive early days.

They ran in the same theatre circles for years but only became friends after working together on the 2022 Broadway revival of The Music Man while they were both with their former partners.

The pair confirmed their relationship in early January after stepping out for a romantic date night in Los Angeles.

'It felt like the right time as their relationship has gotten stronger,' the source told US Weekly.

'They've known each other for so long that it's easy to fall into the next stage of their relationship.'

Jackman's ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness reportedly believes his romance with Sutton will not last.

According to RadarOnline.com, a source close to Furness, who was married to Jackman for 27 years, claims the actress is giving the relationship 'just one year before it collapses'.

The source claimed Jackman's relationship with Foster is the result of a 'mid-life crisis', despite him reportedly preparing to pop the question to his new ladylove.

It was also claimed that Deborra-Lee believes the relationship is merely a novelty that will soon wear thin.
