A marathon runner better known for sharing her content pounding pavements than prepping lunches has sent the internet into a spin, all thanks to the way she slices her cheese.

Sydney-based Georgia Hillis, a keen runner who typically shares marathon training tips and workout content, has racked up more than 1.5 million views and hundreds of comments after posting a surprisingly simple kitchen trick to her Instagram.

In the now-viral clip, she ditched the traditional cheese grater entirely, instead using an everyday potato peeler to shave thin, delicate slices from a block of cheese while assembling a sandwich.

And while the technique might look unconventional, it's the oddly satisfying result of perfectly even, paper-thin slices that has left viewers both stunned and, in many cases, completely converted.

Social media users flooded the comments section with reactions ranging from pure disbelief to full-blown obsession.

'Oh my! You just changed my every morning struggle,' one person wrote, clearly thrilled by the discovery.
Another admitted they were already planning to adopt the hack beyond cheese, adding: 'The way I got excited to butter my next potato this way. I will use it for cheese too but for butter.'

Others couldn't believe it hadn't crossed their minds sooner.

'You mean people don't do this?' one commented.
'The veggie peeler is a perfect cheese slicer!'
'My brother did this and I judged him so hard for it but then I tried it, absolute genius,' another added.

Some even claimed the trick had already spread within their own households.

'How are people not doing this? I showed my boyfriend and now he does it all the time too. Spreading the good word,' one user joked.

But not everyone was convinced the hack was groundbreaking.

Several viewers were quick to point out that this method has been around for years and is, in fact, standard practice in parts of Europe.

'Dutchies watching this with a side eye knowing we have a Kaasschaaf our entire lives,' one person wrote, referencing the traditional Dutch cheese slicer designed specifically for creating thin, uniform slices.

While thousands were thoroughly impressed, several other viewers were quick to point out that this method has been around for years and is, in fact, standard practice in parts of Europe.

'Must be Dutch or German lol'

The tool, known as a kaasschaaf, has long been a staple in Dutch kitchens, purpose-built to achieve exactly the kind of neat, consistent slices Georgia created using a basic peeler.

Still, for many, the beauty of the hack lies in its simplicity - no extra gadgets required, just a tool most people already have sitting in their drawer.

And while Hillis may not have set out to become the internet's latest kitchen hack queen, it's clear the unexpected content has struck a chord with her audience.

Known primarily for her fitness-focused posts and marathon training updates, the influencer's foray into food has proven that sometimes, it's the simplest ideas that resonate the most.

'I found my people,' one commented.
'You're a genius,' another added.
'I shall be following along for more daily running and cheese content.'
'I need to try this with every type of cheese, just to be sure,' a third joked.
