An influencer has been furiously slammed after seasoning a raw turkey in a toilet bowl before later feeding it to her Thanksgiving guests.

Kate Heintzelman, from Minnesota, has racked up more than 338,000 followers by sharing her cooking tips on Instagram. However, she recently left foodies scratching their heads when she shared a video of herself prepping her Thanksgiving turkey in her bathroom instead of her kitchen.

"When it's your turn to make Thanksgiving dinner, but you don't know what you're doing... also don't freak out germs are killed at 140 degrees. I cooked this at 300,"

In the viral clip, which has so far amassed over 5,800 likes on Instagram, the cooking guru displayed the odd and 'diabolical' way she flavored the meat. Kate threw the raw turkey into the toilet as she stuffed it and seasoned it with a slew of spices. The foodie stuffed the meat with an orange, onion and celery stalks before sprinkling herbs on top.

Despite having a working kitchen and oven, the social media mogul opted to use the toilet bowl to prep the holiday feast. In the video, she insisted there were no germs involved because she cooked the turkey at a high temperature.

"Kate... I think you should stay home this Thanksgiving,"
"Almost threw up."
"Wasting an entire turkey is diabolical,"
"You are just wasting food at this point."

This isn't the first time the cooking influencer has raised eyebrows with her unusual techniques. The food guru previously explained that she is planning to cook the Thanksgiving meat and all of the side dishes together in one enormous tray - but her method did not go down well with some of her followers.

Many people slammed her technique in the comment section, claiming that it would put her guests at risk of food poisoning.

'It's giving food poisoning,'
said one person scathed in another viral clip where Kate was seen placing a raw and unwashed chicken inside an aluminum pan.
