The two 'super mums' who were brutally attacked by a disgraced celebrity dentist in an exclusive Sydney suburb have reunited as they recover from their injuries.

Wellness therapist Christine Campeau and celebrity photographer Chloe Paul were attacked at the St Neot Ave building in Potts Point at about 10.50am on Tuesday.

Dr Steven Lin, 41, was armed with a knife when he wandered into a communal laundry at the unit complex and stabbed Ms Campeau in the face.

He then forced his way into Ms Paul's unit, where he demanded the mother-of-three give him money, held her down, beat her and then tried to choke her.

Police initially attempted to taser Dr Lin, which proved 'ineffective', before an officer fired a single round after the father-of-six lunged at the officers. Lin died at the scene.

Less than a week later, Ms Paul shared a photo of the pair on her Instagram - both women's faces were marred by yellowing bruises.

Alongside the photo - which showed Ms Paul's nose bandaged and Ms Campeau sported a neck brace - and links to their fundraisers, she wrote: 'Support the Super Mums with their recovery.'

In previous posts, seen by The Daily Telegraph, Ms Paul had elaborated further on the incident, describing how it had been 'one f*ed up week'.

'We survived!' she wrote.

'Myself and Christine were both horrifically affected by pure evil. How a man can do this to a woman is beyond. Now we have to work hard on our mental state!!!'

A combined total of $90,000 has been raised by friends and family of the two women in the wake of their ordeal.

Ms Campeau has been a yoga instructor at an eastern suburbs fitness centre for at least seven years and specialises in breath work and meditation.

One of her friends, Zoe Certa, wrote on a GoFundMe that the 56-year-old healer has 'spent decades quietly and generously caring for others'.

'Christine was confronted in the communal laundry, where neighbours heard her cries for help as the assault unfolded,' she wrote.
'She was beaten brutally in the face and head and was taken to St Vincent's Hospital with serious facial injuries and a broken nose.
'What should have been an ordinary Tuesday morning became a traumatic, life-threatening ordeal.'

Ms Campeau faces weeks of both physical and emotional recovery and is unable to work.

As a result, the fundraiser was set up to offer financial support for her loss of income, as well as living and medical expenses.

Since the incident, Ms Paul has undergone surgery for a broken nose.

A talented portrait and social photographer, Ms Paul has had her work featured in magazines such as Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Elle and InStyle.

She has also been involved with luxury labels Prada, Dior, Moët & Chandon, Burberry and Christian Louboutin.

Friends set up a separate GoFundMe for Ms Paul, which has so far raised more than $64,000.

'Those who know Chloe would be aware that she is a keen and able boxer,' they wrote.
'This likely saved her life as she was able to protect her head from catastrophic injuries.

Once a world‑renowned dental nutritionist, Dr Lin spiralled into an ice addiction in recent years following the breakdown of his marriage after it emerged he had fathered a love child in secret

'Once in a stranglehold on the ground and unable to breathe, Chloe recalls thinking her death was imminent.
'But, in that moment, decided to reach for the man's most vulnerable body parts and then somehow managed to roll to the side and escape.'

The friends said funds will go towards easing the financial pressure for Ms Paul while she recovers from her injuries, surgery and the trauma.

In a social media post, Ms Paul shared a photo of a neighbour she called 'Tisha'.

'Here's the lady who I think saved my life. She was the first to call police when she heard the screams,' she said.
'I have never met her before and she lives next door. Because of the sound of the sirens it made him run. Thank you TISHA!'

The fashion world has rushed to support Ms Paul, with influencers Elle Ferguson and Jess Ingham sharing messages dedicated to their friend.

Dr Lin also previously co-owned two successful practices on the NSW Central Coast and wrote the best-selling book The Dental Diet.

The dentist accumulated a large following on social media, offering health advice to more than 250,000 Instagram followers.

In recent years, the dentist faced court for a string of offences against women, including stalking, assault, choking and breaching apprehended violence orders.

Just days before his death, Dr Lin appeared in Wollongong Local Court accused of choking and assaulting a prostitute and stealing $2000 from her in March 2025.

The court heard that at the time of the incident, Dr Lin had recorded four breaches of bail, two assault offences and two choking offences.
