Capital Breakfast host Sian Welby has revealed the A-lister who was so 'naughty' in an interview that most of the chat was unbroadcastable.

Miriam Margolyes appeared on the radio show earlier this year with Sian and her co-hosts Jordan North and Chris Stark, admitting they 'abused' their button to censor her words so much, the audience barely got to hear any of their discussion.

The Harry Potter actress has been known for her 'potty mouth' and unfiltered opinions from several TV and radio appearances including on BBC Radio 4 and on This Morning.

Now, Sian revealed to Bang that there was barely any of their interview left which was 'suitable' for their listeners.

She said: 'Oh she's [Miriam] very naughty.'
Jordan agreed: 'Very naughty, one of our favourite guests this year, we had her on recently.'

Sian continued: 'Because Miriam, we have a special button for like, when you can't put whatever is being said out on air and we abuse that button; we abused it so much there was only a little bit of that interview that was suitable for our listeners.'

It comes after Miriam left This Morning fans with a bad taste in viewers' mouth as she tucked into an onion on the sofa and revealed her toilet habits live on air.

The actress appeared on the programme to chat to Ben Shephard, 50, and Cat Deeley, 48, about her memoir The Little Book Of Miriam, but left viewers asking: 'do we really need to hear this before lunch?!'

Earlier on in the show, Dr. Scott Miller answered a number of pet owner questions, which led her to telling the presenters about her toilet habits live on air.

Miriam, who has thrown the show into chaos on multiple occasions, said: 'You talked about the dogs having a poo test - I did a poo test thing morning.'

'It was vivid. It was difficult you know.'

And a surprised Ben asked: 'For anything in particular?'

'I don't want to go into details...' she replied with Ben adding: 'You brought it up Miriam!'

Miriam told him: 'You brought it up! I just want to tell people you must have a poo test. It's very important it can save your life. It went on a little bit longer than expected...'

She added: 'I'm sure it's alright. It can be a bit messy I think, doctors should find a better way of finding out...I put it in a perfume bag...'

Ben giggled away to himself and a shocked Cat asked: 'What is going on here?!'

While she was talking about this, she was also chomping away at some food, as well as a raw onion.

Just seconds into the chat, Ben told her: 'You're really enjoying those onions, aren't you?'

‘They are absolutely superb!’ she told him as she tucked into her second plate of onion rings from Juliet Sear’s cooking segment.

Some viewers weren't a fan of the conversation and others didn't like the fact that she was eating on live TV.

'I didn't put the TV on to see Miriam Margolyes talking with her mouth full about poo tests #ThisMorning.'
'Couldn't she have her lunch before she came on #thismorning; Please make her stop eating; Do we really need to hear this just before lunch?; Oh Jesus Christ. We don't need to know this.'

It's not the first time that Miriam has left the This Morning hosts lost for words.

Back in 2021, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were speechless when she broke wind live on air.

The presenters were left in hysterics by the actress' unfortunate gaffe which came after she also launched into a bizarre rant about Madonna.

The actress was on the sofa to talk about appearing on the show Lost in Scotland with Alan Cummings when she suffered from an unexpected bout of flatulence.

A giggling Phillip Schofield announced: ‘I can’t. I can’t. I’m professional, I should pull myself together. Miriam’s just done the most enormous fart.’

While he and co-host Holly Willoughby collapsed in laughter, Miriam replied ‘You outed me!

‘When you’re embarrassed you’re at your most open - don’t be afraid to feel embarrassed. Just now when I farted, I feel embarrassed. I get over it, but I feel embarrassed!’

During an appearance in 2023, Miriam discussed 'steaming her vagina' and her sex life, while she also swore twice live on the show.

Presenter Holly was left red-faced and was forced to apologise to viewers after the outspoken actress mouthed an expletive before uttering the word st' during the phone in.

Miriam then raised eyebrows once again as she sat on the sofa for a chat, where she proceeded to speak candidly about her sex life and maintaining her intimate areas.

She said during the X-rated discussion: ‘My friends say I haven’t changed but I’ve always been as naughty and outspoken as I am now.

Back in 2021, then This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were speechless when she broke wind live on air.

‘What I have learnt is to be kind. Otherwise I’m sort of perfect really. I’m 82, I fart a lot, ps a lot, but I’m still going.

‘I’ve just come back from Austria and I went to a rocker place and I steamed my yoni [slang for female genitalia]. It did me a world of good. You put a big saucepan with some mint and you put it in a bed pan and spread you legs. It’s peaceful and pleasant. It has awoke....’

Gwyneth Paltrow famously spoke about vaginal steaming on her lifestyle site Goop which first posted about the controversial procedure in 2015, with many people at the time referring to it as a 'vagina facial'.

Going on to speak about her sex life, Miriam continued: ‘Sex is not for me now, it is not what it is in life but I will advise and talk about it.

‘Bottoms are friendly if a man flies his... but you can touch bottoms.’

Harry Potter star Miriam is a regular guest on the ITV daytime show and has often in the past turned the air blue during comical moments.
