It's well known across the entire Beckham family that Brooklyn Beckham hates being filmed, and will only do it if he really has to.

For example, for his cringeworthy cookery videos. Because, despite having watched his parents pose for the cameras on the world stage since the day he was born, their eldest son has always been rather reluctant to put himself in the limelight.

But now a video has emerged of him riding a motorbike with wife Nicola Peltz, as part of a forthright post to show he is well and truly siding with her in the bitter feud that has ensnared the Beckham family. And those close to David and Victoria Beckham say they are pointing the finger at their daughter-in-law.

In the jaw-dropping Instagram post, Brooklyn wrote alongside a clip of him and Nicola speeding around Beverly Hills: 'My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you're the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby.'

It is the first time either of the couple, who snubbed all of former England captain David's 50th birthday celebrations earlier this month, have publicly addressed the rift.

And it will have left David and Victoria both staggered and deeply concerned, as they fear that Brooklyn is falling increasingly under the control of Nicola, the daughter of American billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz.

'Brooklyn is now being referred to as "the hostage". He is in a situation where those who love Brooklyn fear that he is being controlled by Nicola and it is heartbreaking,' said a source close to the fall-out.
'Videos like this are just not what he does. He will be dying inside.
'He's soppy and he's a romantic but that video just isn't him. He hates all of that stuff so you have to wonder if Nicola was behind it.'

As someone pointed out to me, it is particularly galling given Nicola had been briefing the media that the Beckhams are using social media for 'performative' reasons, when this post is perhaps the very epitome of such behaviour.

Three weeks ago, I revealed that David and Victoria, 51, were 'done' with Nicola, who married their son in a lavish £3millon ceremony at her parents' £76million home on Palm Beach, Florida.

They had grown tired of the fall-outs with the young couple and their no-shows since their big day back in April 2022. And, after Brooklyn and Nicola failed to attend any of David's celebrations despite flying into London, they resigned themselves to the fact they had now become estranged from their beloved son for the foreseeable future.

Brooklyn and Nicola didn't attend a big family party at the Beckhams' Cotswolds home, or an idyllic trip to France, or a meal at Notting Hill restaurant, Core.

Brooklyn, 26, also missed a 'boys fishing trip' to the Scottish Highlands with David and his younger brothers Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 19; as well as a pre-birthday bash at Cipriani restaurant in Miami at the end of March.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn has stopped seeing some friends including Gordon Ramsay's son Jack and Rocco Ritchie, whose director father Guy is a close friend of David's.

And, earlier this week, there was proof of the irreparable nature of the rift when Brooklyn and Nicola, 30, jetted to London from their home in Los Angeles on Monday morning for a joint photo-shoot with Italian luxury fashion brand Moncler which took place less than two miles away from the Beckham family home in Holland Park, West London. Brooklyn didn't even tell David and Victoria they were in the country - let alone meet with them.

While Nicola was not seen on location, she did reveal on social media that she was taking part; while Brooklyn was seen holding a bike as he wore an off-white Moncler coat from their forthcoming collection.

It was shortly before David met the King at the Chelsea Flower Show that he learned that the couple were in the UK - 5,000 miles away from their LA home - when Nicola posted on her Instagram stories that she was getting ready for the shoot.

They flew back first thing on Tuesday morning without engaging with any of Brooklyn's family.

While it may not be so surprising that the couple didn't meet with Posh and Becks, friends of the family point out that Brooklyn did not even find time to see his siblings.

He has fallen out with Romeo, 22, but has barely ever had a cross word with youngest brother Cruz, 19, or Harper, whom he was once so remarkably close to.

In fact, at the beginning of their romance, Nicola also enjoyed posing for pictures with Harper - who turns 14 in July - and sharing them on social media.

Yesterday, just a few hours after Brooklyn's post, Cruz appeared to give voice to his frustration over the situation by making it clear that he is supporting his parents and not Brooklyn in the feud.

He penned: 'I love my family. I love you guys more than anything, mum and dad you gave us life and cared for us no matter what, I cannot tell you how blessed we are to have you in our lives.'

Until now Cruz has stayed away from the fall-out - and family sources say that he hasn't really got involved in Brooklyn and Romeo's rift either - a rift which, as I revealed last week, is also seemingly beyond repair.

Brooklyn and Romeo fell out at the time of the wedding when Nicola, 30, refused to speak to Romeo’s then-girlfriend Mia Regan. She also blames his current partner Kim Turnbull for her failure to attend David’s birthday parties briefing that she won’t go if Kim is there – despite the fact Kim was not present at two out of five of the events.

Where Brooklyn’s relationship with Cruz is concerned, an insider said: ‘Brooklyn has barely ever had a cross word with Cruz – and yet he hasn’t seen him for ages.

‘You have to wonder if he isn’t allowed [to see him].’

The insider added: ‘Then there is Harper. It is absolutely heartbreaking that Brooklyn and Nicola didn’t bother to see her when they came to London last week.

‘Nicola used to be all over her like a rash, posing for pictures and putting them on TikTok or Instagram, saying that Harper was her little sister.

‘Perhaps she was using her for her own image. Whatever the reason, to cut a young girl out of this when she literally has had no part to play is cruel.

‘It is just unbelievable that Brooklyn would do this of his own accord.’

As for Brooklyn’s motorcycling post to his 18 million followers, the response was perhaps not what he was looking for.

One follower said: ‘If it wasn’t for your last name Beckham, she wouldn’t have looked twice at you. If her parents weren’t billionaires just ordinary working class folk and you really had to make a choice, you’d choose your parents.’

David and Victoria desperately hope that one day he will come back to them - despite the post which must have been a dagger to their hearts.
