Iranian General Qasem Soleimani's niece was a "crazed stalker" who made her ex-boyfriend's life hell, the California Post can reveal -- after she was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Los Angeles.
On Friday, ICE agents took Hamideh Soleimani Afshar, 47, into custody from her residence in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Tujunga. Afshar is the niece of the deceased Iranian military leader Gen. Soleimani.
Her 25-year-old daughter Sarinasadat Hosseiny went with her after both had their green cards revoked for alleged ties to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Los Angeles hairdresser Zare Mandani, 54, was granted a five-year restraining order against Afshar following a campaign of harassment in 2024 at his work address and residence.
When informed of her Friday arrest by ICE, Mandani told The Post: "Thank God. That's good. She's a stalker.
"She's a crazy lady. Thank God she's been arrested and is going to be deported. She's not a normal person."
He continued: "I took her to court twice. She gave me too much of a headache. I asked her nicely to leave me alone and I blocked her but she wouldn't listen."
Mandani said he first met Afshar at a party and noticed she was wearing a wig.
In court filings for the domestic violence restraining order, he listed their relationship as "we are dating or used to date," though he told The Post they were just friends.
The filings outlined allegations of "emotional abuse, harassment, made repeated unwanted calls, blocked movement, kept me from working at work place," and that she "threatened to hurt herself."
The restraining order comes amid Afshar's federal entanglements.
The stunned renter of the Tujunga property, piano instructor Halasius Bradford, 50, said he now realizes Afshar and her daughter had been on ICE's radar for some time before agents swooped.
"It was crazy seeing what happened. I saw three LAPD patrol cars and one or two from ICE," Bradford told The Post.
Afshar entered the US on a tourist visa in 2015, gained asylum in 2019, and became a green card holder in 2021.
Her daughter arrived in 2021 on a student visa and secured a green card in 2023. Both had traveled back to Iran multiple times, raising red flags with US authorities.
Afshar had celebrated attacks on US soldiers and military facilities, praised Iran's Supreme Leader, called America the "Great Satan," and voiced support for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, a designated terror organization, according to the State Department.
The Post's visit to her home on Saturday revealed she was living in a small ADU behind the main two-bedroom, two-bathroom home Bradford rents.
She had bought the Plainview Avenue property for $505,000 in 2021. Photos from the scene offer a glimpse into the women's carefully curated Los Angeles lifestyle.
Inside her humble home, about 20 miles north of downtown Los Angeles, was a selfie ring light and a full-form mannequin for her to hang her designer label outfits.
She also drove a black Tesla, which on Saturday was stuffed with luxury goods, including a Miss Dior bag, some Hermès cushions, a Sephora makeup bag, and another gray leather handbag in the front passenger footwell.
Some items inside the car bore Arabic writing, while a few parking tickets were also scattered inside.
