My morning routine always begins with a cup of Yorkshire Gold tea. The three things that lift my mood in the morning are a cuppa, being in daylight and ten minutes of gentle, yoga-inspired stretching.
When it comes to my diet, it's all about balance. I don't over-indulge, but I do love sweet treats like a cheeky Turkish delight or some Green & Blacks chocolate, and I won't deprive myself of a Sunday roast or cocktails when I see girlfriends.
The power of protein
I stopped eating red meat in my teens - as my diet is predominantly plant-based, it's a constant challenge getting enough protein, particularly for my muscles as I get older.
Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day, and I'd never skip it. I usually eat Greek yoghurt with blueberries, honey and lots of seeds, or porridge with half a scoop of chocolate protein powder (so yummy!), plus pumpkin and sunflower seeds for fibre. I sometimes do a strength training workout with weights after breakfast, focusing on shoulders and triceps.
A daily movement fix is vital for me. I either take a brisk walk with the dogs or do a few minutes of skipping on the decking in the garden.
I go to the gym two or three days a week. My gym routine always begins with ten minutes of warm-up dancing with my arms over my head like a woman possessed! That's followed by a weights workout or run on the treadmill to get my heart rate up.
A typical lunch is poached eggs, avocado and baked cherry tomatoes with a few slices of sourdough, or a tuna mayonnaise mix with avocado on a protein bagel. If I'm grabbing lunch or a snack on the go, I go for whatever has the most protein.
One thing I never compromise on is my supplements. I take Vitabiotics Wellwoman vitamins and drink lots of anti-inflammatory and gut-loving fresh ginger juice; you can easily boil your own.
Dinner is roast salmon or chicken with a pile of mixed vegetables and sweet potato mash, or maybe a homemade potato dauphinoise.

Skincare essentials
I've fine-tuned my skincare routine. I tone, moisturise and exfoliate every day without fail. In winter, my skin tends to become flaky, so I use the Medik8 Press and Glow Daily exfoliating tonic to buff away dry skin.
My desert island beauty products are Tan Luxe tanning drops, Sculpted By Aimee's hydrating glow serum and Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour protectant balm that you can use on anything from split ends to chapped lips.
I love to wind down with yoga at the end of the day, after an Epsom salt bath - perfect for eliminating toxins and washing away any fake tan remnants!
