As Bo Derek once famously said, 'Whoever said that money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping.'
I'm Chelsea Ritschel, the Associate Editor of Lifestyle and Showbiz at the Daily Mail, and every week I'll be highlighting my favorite purchases and the little (or big) luxuries that are actually worth your money.
Welcome to the Daily Mail's newly launched Lifestyle Editor Picks of the Week - a curated roundup of products that genuinely impressed me.
I test (and buy) far more than I'd like to admit, which means when something makes this list, it's because it actually lived up to the hype or made my life easier in a way I didn't expect.
Think of the list as a curated edit of unexpected luxuries, smart tech items, and products that really will spark joy.
And with Black Friday nearly upon us, it's the perfect time to shop for the holiday gifts you'll be giving a loved one or keeping for yourself this festive season.
From home upgrades that will genuinely improve your day-to-day to the beauty essentials that really do what they promise, these are the products I've been talking about - and shopping for - this week.

GreenPan 5Qt Ceramic Non Stick Hinged Lid Slow Cooker, $53.98
If you love home-cooked meals, or simply want to save money on eating out, this slow cooker is for you
Despite what I believed when I bought most of my kitchen tools, appliances and gadgets, it turns out I don't actually like to cook. That is, unless it's in my slow cooker.
As someone who is generally lazy in the kitchen, and who really hates the mess that comes from using various bowls, pans and pots to make a meal, a slow cooker proved to be a game-changer for me when it comes to making dinner.
The GreenPan 5Qt Ceramic Non Stick Hinged Lid Slow Cooker in particular is my most-used appliance by far, as it allows me to pile all of the ingredients into one pot and come back hours later to a truly impressive meal. My cooking skills may be of the extremely average variety, but every time I've used my slow cooker I've been blown away by the depth of flavor I've managed to accomplish.
But one of the biggest selling points for me is the ease in which I can clean the slow cooker thanks to it being dishwasher-safe.
If you love home-cooked meals, or simply want to save money on eating out, this slow cooker deserves a home in your kitchen.

Suri 2.0 Electric Toothbrush, $108
The Suri toothbrush has changed my life for the better
Brushing my teeth became less like a chore and more like a fun step of my beloved skincare routine when I upgraded to the Suri electric toothbrush. Suri is the first electric toothbrush, or really any toothbrush, I've used that genuinely feels like a lifestyle upgrade rather than just a bathroom gadget.
It's lightweight, quiet, and sleek, which means I can leave it on the bathroom counter without worrying about it being an eyesore, and it leaves my teeth feeling incredibly clean.
The sonic vibrations are gentle but thorough, and it's slim enough to get into every nook and cranny. I also love that the toothbrush, which comes in Millennial-approved colors, tells you when to move onto the next section of your mouth using a slight vibration.
The battery power is amazing, with the brush capable of lasting two weeks without a charge. The bristles are also plant-based and fully recyclable, and the brand will actually take back and recycle your used heads for you - something no other brush I've used offers.
If you want a toothbrush that will make you and your dentist happy, this is it.
Beauty
Dyson AirWrap, $519.99
The newest version of the Dyson AirWrap is worth every penny if you are after that salon-style blowout
I've never coveted a beauty tool quite like the Dyson AirWrap when it was first launched in 2018. If you can believe it, the latest iteration of the beloved hair styler is better than ever.
As someone with both bleached blonde hair and tape-in extensions, I need hair tools that are gentle, which is exactly what the AirWrap is. What makes it different is the airflow technology - instead of clamping your hair between hot plates, the barrels use the Coanda effect to pull and wrap the hair for you, so you get bouncy, salon-level blowouts with less heat.
I also love that it works on damp hair, which cuts the time it takes to dry and style my hair in half. The smoothing brushes are just as good as the barrels, and the new versions have even stronger airflow.
Is the Dyson AirWrap a splurge? Absolutely. But if you style your hair often or you're trying to minimize heat damage, this is one of the few big-ticket beauty tools that actually feels worth the investment.
Since using the AirWrap, I get inundated with daily compliments about how good my hair looks.
Fashion
Naadam The Soft Collection Cashmere Crewneck Sweater, $84.98
This 100 percent cashmere sweater manages to be both chic and affordable
Cashmere makes winter a little more bearable, which is why I have been living in these inexpensive 100 percent cashmere sweaters from Naadam. The sweater nails the combination of a luxe feel and affordability, while the classic crew neck shape makes it the perfect wardrobe staple.
In addition to the unbeatable price, one of the best parts of this sweater is the versatility, with the soft cashmere knit coming in black, butter yellow, light blue and oatmeal and in sizes ranging from XXS to 3X.
If you are going for an elevated Pinterest-level style this winter, or if you simply want to be extremely cozy, this sweater is my favorite.
Tech
AirPod Pros 3, $219
The AirPod Pros 3 are easily my most-used tech product
I was an early adopter of AirPod Pros, and after a few years, I still think they are one of the best headphone options on the market.
The AirPod Pros 3, which were released in September 2025, are worth the upgrade from the first iteration - and are easily my most-used piece of tech.
In addition to an exceptional listening and sound quality experience, which makes my morning commute enjoyable, Apple has also managed to iron out all of the annoying bugs that came with the first and second versions of the AirPod Pros, such as issues with transparency mode.
The fit of the newest version is great, and they've been made lighter and more secure - which means I don't need to worry about them falling out when I'm working out. But it's the new adaptive audio feature that is the standout, with the technology automatically adjusting noise-cancelling based on what's happening around you.
Battery life is also longer and charging takes almost no time at all.
If you're thinking about upgrading your headphones, it should be to the AirPod Pros 3.
Splurge
Pilates Home Studio 4-Cord Reformer, $399.98
I'm officially canceling my Pilates membership in favor of this at-home reformer
After months of pricy Pilates classes at a small, overcrowded studio, I finally decided to take matters into my own hands with an at-home Pilates reformer. The workout equipment arrived in pieces in a huge box, but it was surprisingly easy to put together myself.
Once it was ready to test out, I started cautiously, building my way up to the moves I'd learned in my classes. But I hadn't needed to be worried, as this performer makes it feel like I'm right back in the studio classes - without the sweaty grunts from others exercising.
The four resistance cords make it easy to tailor each session, and the cardio rebounder is surprisingly effective, with the included guide and videos making it simple to follow along.
The best part is you don't need to be a Pilates expert to get a full-body workout on this machine.
Having a reformer in my apartment means I can squeeze in 10 minutes before work or stick to my after-work routine. It also folds up more easily than you'd expect, which keeps it from taking over the whole room.
While the price does make it a splurge, it ends up being way more cost-effective than a gym or Pilates membership - and it's so much easier to convince myself to work out when I know the couch is right there waiting for me after.
