New details have emerged about Gisele Bundchen's secret wedding to her longtime boyfriend, jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente.

They held a private wedding on December 3 at their home in Surside, Florida, as confirmed by a marriage license viewed by the Daily Mail.

Bundchen, 45, tied the knot three years after her divorce from NFL alum Tom Brady, with whom she shares her older children Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 14.

She and Valente confirmed their romance on Valentine's Day 2024 after a swirl of dating rumors the previous year, and they welcomed a baby boy this February.

Now an insider has revealed why the Brazilian supermodel decided to keep her wedding so close-knit and out of the public eye.

'Gisele is tired of all of the attention on her private life, but [she and Valente] are both so happy being together, and being new parents it was what they wanted to do,' the source disclosed to People magazine over the weekend.

'They are best friends with a lot in common and are so excited about everything,' the insider added, explaining further: 'Gisele just wants to do things her own way. And a small, private non-event was what she wanted.'

The source observed: 'Her life is filled with her kids, her loving family and work, but it is more manageable. She is happy being married again, happy being a mom and happy in her environment. It is an enviable position.'

According to another insider: 'Gisele is happy and in love, and getting married was in her plans - the timing just had to be right. She didn't want anything over the top or made public so they could enjoy the day, each other and the family.'

That source dished: 'Everything has fallen into place for her, and she is fulfilled. Those close to her are so happy for her. Getting married was right.'

On Friday an insider said Valente, who like Bundchen is from Brazil, 'is thrilled they finally tied the knot after having a kid together,' via Page Six.

Another source has explained that although Valente and Bundchen kept their wedding intimate, some family members were in attendance, per TMZ.

Bundchen was glimpsed earlier this week posing up a storm at a Sao Paolo event for the jewelry chain Vivara - and her slinky skintight dress had long flaps at the cuffs so that her left hand ring finger was artfully obscured.

She has known her new husband since 2021, when she, Benjamin and Vivian began taking classes at the Valente Brothers jiu-jitsu studio in Miami, but she has always staunchly denied rumors that she was unfaithful to Brady.

She first posted Instagram photos of her new baby with Valente on Mother's Day, concealing his face but showing he was dressed in a onesie that read: 'I [heart] MOM'

As news of her wedding spread around the world, Brady left fans concerned by posting two Insta Stories set to a depressive song.

One Insta Story was a photo of him holding a football with the caption: 'LFG' (let's f*ing go), while the other showed him in a hoodie from his Forever Young line, accompanied by the caption: 'Yuppppppp.'

The soundtrack was a 2017 song by Logic called 1-800-273-8255, which at the time was the number of the suicide prevention hotline in the U.S.

Sample lyrics include: 'I feel like my life ain't mine,' and: 'I don't wanna be alive,' leaving Brady's fans worried about his emotional state.

Shortly after Bundchen and Valente confirmed their romance to the public, she firmly denied rumors she cheated on Brady with him, speaking to the New York Times.

'This is something that happens to a lot of women who get blamed when they have the courage to leave an unhealthy relationship and are labeled as being unfaithful,' she said. 'Of course, for me, it just happens to be a little bit amplified.'

While promoting her cookbook Nourish, Bundchen went viral for breaking down in tears while being interviewed about her divorce from Brady.

In February 2024, a source told the Daily Mail Brady had 'accepted' Bundchen's romance with Valente - although he believed they had been together for 'years.'

Previous reports indicated Bundchen and Valente had only been together since June 2023, but the insider revealed that Brady felt otherwise.

'If she wants to have people think she has been dating Joaquim only since June, so be it; but they have been together longer and they aren't taking it slow,' the source alleged, adding however that 'Tom has accepted it.'

The insider said further: 'Tom and Joaquim are not friends - but Joaquim is around his kids, so Tom has to find the good in him and does believe he is a good guy. If Joaquim ever becomes a father figure to his kids, Tom will be able to adapt.'

Although Bundchen and Valente were the subject of romance rumors for several months, they only went public with their relationship on Valentine's Day, when they were spotted passionately kissing near her home in Miami.

Before then, they were seen spending a considerable amount of time in each other's company, including on getaways to Costa Rica.

Brady and Bundchen announced their divorce in October 2022 after a swirl of reports that their marriage was on the verge of collapse.

Bundchen was claimed to be livid over Brady's shock decision to 'un-retire' from the NFL - just one month after he gave up football to spend more time with his family.

'Obviously, I have my concerns -- this is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present. I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again,' she told Elle shortly before their split went public.

'But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy too,' Bundchen added.

Brady initially announced his departure from the NFL during the 2022 off-season - only to perform a dizzying volte face and return to pro football a month later .

He officially retired again at the beginning of 2023 after his marriage collapsed, and he has remained out of pro football since.
