In its heyday, Pleasure Island, in Cleethorpes, saw hundreds of thousands of adrenaline-junkies walk through its gates every year.
But it's been surrounded by overgrown greenery rather than overgrown kids since shutting up shop in 2016, after 23 years.
Pleasure Island was split into six areas - Africa, Morocco, Old England, Spain, Kiddies Kingdom, and White Knuckle Valley - and had plenty of thrillseeking rides, including Alakazam, Terror Rack and Gravitron.
The rides were sold in October 2018, but the majority of the buildings still remain intact to this day, including the park entrance, dodgems building and the children's show area.
Back in 2022, a £65 million proposal was put forward to turn the abandoned theme park into a huge holiday resort including more than 270 lodges, two hotels, a drive-through coffee-shop, restaurants, a casino and supermarket.
The ambitious plans have been estimated to bring in around £17 million per year once complete.
But, since September 2024, the North East Lincolnshire Council has said the proposal is 'pending consideration' - having had pushback from organisations including the Environment Agency and Natural England.
Now, eerie images show how the once-popular theme park has been left to decay - with just the painted walls of broken buildings remaining...
One of the rides at Pleasure Island was Tinkaboo's Sweet Adventure - and this is what it looks like now.
Tinkaboo's Sweet Adventure was a boat ride through Tommy Tinkaboo's Sweet Factory.
The theme park's ghost ride, called Shrieksville was gutted in 2020, after three separate attempts to sell the ride at two auctions in 2018.
The walls of the former ghost ride are in good condition - and still creepily painted.
Even the tracks for Shrieksville are still visible in pictures.
The haunted house staple of a sign reading 'Abandon Hope' is also seen in pictures.
The ride took brave guests on a track through a creepy haunted house.
Broken fruit machines can still be seen, stood in the theme park's old arcade.
This is what the Africa area looks like today.
At the former Furry Friends Farm, there are still soap and hand towel dispensers surrounding broken sinks.
