Pop singer Lily Allen and "Stranger Things" actor David Harbour have put their meticulously renovated Carroll Gardens townhouse on the market for nearly $8 million -- more than double the $3.35 million they paid for it in early 2021.
The listing came mere days after Allen released what fans have dubbed her "revenge" album, following reports of the couple's split late last year amid rumors Harbour had an affair, according to the Sun.
In lyrics from the newly release song "West End Girl," Allen mentions the residence directly as a place she was forced to move into.
"Now I'm looking at houses with four or five floors / And you've found us a brownstone, said 'You want it? It's yours,"' the lyrics begin.
The song continues: "So we went ahead and we bought it / Found ourselves a good mortgage / Billy Cotton got sorted / All the furniture ordered / I could never afford this / You were pushing it forward / Made me feel a bit awkward / Made me feel a bit awkward."
(The late 19th-century brownstone, located on one of Brooklyn's most coveted tree-lined blocks, was redesigned by AD100 designer Billy Cotton and architect Ben Bischoff of MADE.)
The four-story, 22-foot-wide home blends "traditional English charm, modern Brooklyn sensibilities and rich Italian influence," according to the listing.
Inside, the parlor level opens to a lavish living room wrapped in Zuber wallpaper and detailed crown moldings. A fireplace anchors the space, with glass doors opening onto a private backyard complete with a sauna and a cold plunge.
The adjoining kitchen features Plain English cabinetry, an Ann Sacks backsplash, an Officine Gullo range and a custom banquette under oversized windows that flood the room with natural light.
The primary suite occupies the entire second floor, with another fireplace, dual walk-in closets and Pierre Frey carpeting. Upstairs are two guest bedrooms, a skylit lounge and a home office. There are five bedrooms and four baths in total.
The garden level contains an additional guest suite, a powder room and a casual sitting room with built-ins and direct yard access, while the fully finished basement houses a gym, laundry and storage.
City records show the pair purchased the property under two separate trusts, financing it with a $2.5 million mortgage through City National Bank. Between 2021 and 2023, they filed several renovation permits -- including general construction valued at $282,600 and $265,600 -- as they reimagined the interiors.
Their new designs made its debut in Architectural Digest in early 2023.
Neighbors say the home has appeared vacant in recent months.
"It appears no one has been home for quite some time," one local resident told the Sun. "Every house on the street has Halloween decorations, but not Lily and David's."
"It's a very family-friendly neighborhood -- Lily was very active in the community when she lived here with David," the neighbor added.
The singer, who married Harbour in 2020 after meeting on the dating app Raya, has since returned to London with her two daughters from her previous marriage.
The Brooklyn home is steps from Carroll Park and the boutiques of Court and Smith streets.
Carl Gambino of Compass holds the listing. He declined to comment via a representative.
Meanwhile, Harbour had a second residence in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan, where Allen seemingly hinted in her latest album was the place her husband allegedly had his tryst with Natalie Tippett, a costume designer, who met the "Stranger Things" actor while filming a movie in New Orleans in 2021.
Since Allen's latest album release, she has gained nearly 40,000 followers. Meanwhile, Harbour has lost nearly 26,000 followers.
