The 2026 Met Gala theme, "Fashion Is Art," aligns with The Met's spring exhibition showcasing art and historical garments.
Odessa A'zion put some work in for the 2026 Met Gala.
The Marty Supreme star, 25, revealed ahead of her Met Gala debut that she contributed to her own glam when it came to her eye-catching look.
"I do my hair and makeup myself," the actress told Entertainment Tonight.
When asked if that was something that she has always done, A'zion said, "Yeah, I just have a problem with too many people touching me at once. I don't like it. And I also just am so specific."
A'zion went for more of a bare-faced look with her makeup, which was enhanced with various small jewels adorning her face. She styled her hair in lush, thick curls -- with the help of extensions.
“They chopped my hair off for a movie, so it’s extensions,” she told ET. “Yeah, my hair is shoulder-length right now. I miss it.”
She paired the glam with a Valentino dress that featured blue and pink bedazzled leafy cut-outs covering her chest and a black corset with the same leaf detailing. Over the outfit, she wore a long black jacket that trailed behind her and featured the same detailing as the corset.
She completed the look with Pandora jewels, tights and black thigh-high boots.
A'zion also told ET what she was most anticipating from her first Met Gala.
“I think the best part will be when we can all relax and I can take it off, ‘cause I’m a little bit -- I can’t breathe that much right now,” the actress said of her corset look.
Vogue revealed in February that the 2026 Met Gala dress code would be "Fashion Is Art," which reflects the Metropolitan Museum of Art's spring 2026 exhibition titled "Costume Art." The announcement came about two months after the event's co-chairs -- Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and Anna Wintour -- were announced.
The curator in charge of the new "Costume Art" exhibit, Andrew Bolton, said the exhibition will address "the centrality of the dressed body in the museum's vast collection," by pairing paintings, sculptures and other objects spanning the 5,000 years of art represented in The Met alongside historical and contemporary garments from the Costume Institute.
Besides A'zion, other attendees include Blake Lively, Sabrina Carpenter, Teyana Taylor, Margot Robbie and Zoë Kravitz.
