Teddi Mellencamp and Ricci Rea have reunited three months after parting ways.
On Sunday, Oct. 5, photos captured The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum on an afternoon stroll with her ex-boyfriend. The pair can be seen smiling and talking as they walked side-by-side in a Los Angeles neighborhood.
Mellencamp, 44, sported a loose-fitting jumpsuit, Prada crossbody bag and a black baseball cap, while Rea, who was holding a tablet in his hand, dressed down in athletic shorts and a white T-shirt.
This is the first time the former couple have been seen in public together since breaking up in July. It comes days after Mellencamp revealed on her podcast that her stage 4 cancer is "gone" but she has to continue immunotherapy.
Mellencamp first discussed her relationship with Rea and their subsequent split in an episode of her Diamonds in the Rough podcast in July.
"Right now, it started getting to the point where it's starting to get a little bit more serious," she explained to co-host Erika Girardi. "I was like, 'I don't have the capacity for this right now."
"He's a really nice guy; couldn't be a nicer guy," she added of Rea.
The mom of three further revealed that they had broken things off before Rea's identity was revealed a month after they were first seen together.
"You guys, [the] press needs to get on it a little bit faster because by the time they figured out who my mystery man was, we're already done. I had to call things off," she said. "All of a sudden, I open up the freaking worldwide web. I'm like, 'The mystery man.' Oh, now you guys figured it out."
She added that the "timing sucks" for the relationship because "I don't feel my best. So, when I have downtime, I want to rest. It's not even, like, about a need right now, and I think that's the crazy thing about this."
At the time, Mellencamp was undergoing treatment for stage 4 cancer that had metastasized to her brain and lungs. In October, however, she revealed that recent scans showed "no detectable cancer."
Additionally, Mellencamp is navigating her divorce from husband Edwin Arroyave after 13 years of marriage. On the June 20 episode of Diamonds in the Rough, the reality star opened up about needing to find a partner who accepts where she is in life.
"I've had to make it clear to people I've dated [that] this is where I am. This is what I've got," she shared. "If it's enough for you, great. If it's not enough, I won't be upset. I mean, yes, my feelings will probably be hurting but this is all I got to give. And if that's enough, great."
She went on to gush over Rea, saying: “I haven’t had to say any of those things, but he is really sweet and kind.”
“He came and picked us up this week from the show,” she continued. “He could tell that I was down. He sat and watched, like, one million hours of horse show rounds. He’s just a good guy... I know I deserve it, and it’s really nice.”
