Victoria Beckham has shared a gushing tribute to her husband David as he opened his Inter Miami team's new Freedom Park Stadium on Saturday.

The former footballer, 50, was joined by his Spice Girl wife, 51, at the stadium's ribbon-cutting ceremony prior to the MLS match between Inter Miami CF and Austin FC at Nu Stadium.

While the couple were also joined by their three youngest children Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14, and Romeo and Cruz's girlfriends - Kim Turnbull and Jackie Apostel.

The family put on a united display for the milestone occasion - while eldest child Brooklyn was unsurprisingly absent, amid his ongoing bitter estrangement from his parents.

Victoria shared a snap of the family all posing together at the stadium, and another of her and David holding hands, with the fashion designer gazing lovingly at her beaming husband.

Taking to her Instagram on Sunday, she penned a heartfelt tribute to him for the achievement, declaring she 'couldn't be prouder'.

She gushed: 'What an incredible night last night!!! We couldn't be prouder @davidbeckham watching you turn your dream into reality inspires us all every day x

'We love you so much!!! @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham @harperbeckham @jackie.apostel @kim_turnbull'.

While sharing video montages of the day to her Stories, she added: 'I couldn't be prouder... I love you @davidbeckham you inspire us all every day.'

Victoria stepped out for the occasion in a white oversized suit featuring flared trousers and a light grey key hole vest underneath.

Meanwhile, David represented his team in a navy suit with the Inter Miami crest embroidered onto it.

His sons were also quick to show their support, with Romeo sharing a picture of his father at the stadium, while Cruz shared a number of snaps of the venue.

Cruz said he 'couldn't be more proud' of his father as he took in the huge new state-of-the-art stadium before sitting in Lionel Messi's pitch-side seat.

He penned: 'Dad I really couldn't be more proud of you; you have inspired me every day to be a better human and have consistently proved that as long as you work as hard as you can you can achieve your dreams,'

Before adding: 'And today you have made history once again; Vamos Miami; see ya tonight'.

David replied: 'Thank you mate love you so much; but I have one question , what are you doing in Leo's seat ?? @cruzbeckham Love you.'

His girlfriend Jackie, 30, also paid tribute to the former footballer, taking to her Instagram to share the group snap as well as a loved-up one with Cruz, with the caption: 'congratulations @davidbeckham @intermiamicf @nustadium ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️'.

David shared a first look at Inter Miami's new $750million (£566.5m) stadium on Friday ahead of its official unveiling.

The England legend announced the beginning of construction on the project, then called Miami Freedom Park, in 2023, three years on from the club's founding.

Inter Miami have been based in Fort Lauderdale since their inaugural season at the 21,500 Chase Stadium, and will see their capacity boosted to 26,700 with the move close to Miami International Airport.

David posted a picture to Instagram during Inter Miami's first training session at the Nu Stadium, with the caption 'Our new home (two pink heart emojis)' adorning the video of the gleaming pink and white ground.

He also shared a post with pictures of the ground - and himself testing out the turf - to his main grid, which was celebrated by a slew of well-wishers.

Son Romeo and his former team-mate Gary Neville were among those to send supportive red heart emojis in the comment section, with his mother Sandra writing: 'So proud, ground looks amazing (pink heart black heart white heart football emojis) xx.'

The stadium sits at the heart of Miami Freedom Park itself, a billion-dollar complex billed as an entertainment district sitting atop 131 acres of Miami real estate.

David and co-owner Jorge Mas had planned for the move to the Nu Stadium to coincide with star player Lionel Messi's final season, in the summer of 2025.

Meanwhile, over in West Hollywood, eldest child Brooklyn, 27, appeared tense during a phone call outside the Sunset Plaza Hotel on Friday evening, as he was spotted pacing and animatedly moving his arms during the lengthy conversation.

In January, the aspiring chef released an explosive six-page statement aimed at his parents, where he revealed he did not wish to reconcile with his family.

And he doubled down last month, as he praised his mother-in-law in a gushing post on Mother's Day, while failing to mention Victoria at all.

Taking to Instagram, he shared a photo of himself alongside Claudia Heffner Peltz and his wife Nicola Peltz, with the accompanying caption: ‘Happy birthday to the best mother-in-law. Love u so much and hope u had the most amazing day.’

With Claudia’s birthday falling on March 12 - three days earlier - it seemed a particularly calculated move.

And his post came after Brooklyn was said to have blasted the tributes and loving messages his parents and siblings made on his 27th birthday last month, branding them ‘performative posts’.
