Heading into his 14th NFL season, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is about to do something he's never done before: take the field as a married man.

Kelce got engaged to longtime girlfriend Taylor Swift last August, and the two have been expected to tie the knot sometime soon.

Well, according to a report from the Daily Mail, that wedding date is fast approaching as Kelce and Swift are expected to get hitched sometime this offseason, long before the NFL season begins.

"For sources have exclusively confirmed to the Daily Mail that the tight end and his superstar fiancée, Taylor Swift, both 36, will tie the knot this summer before the new football season kicks off," the outlet reported.

"The plans are said to be so tightly under wraps that even guests are currently unaware of the exact date and location."

The Daily Mail also reported that wedding guests will reportedly be informed of the details right before the date is announced, which the outlet says will take place before Chiefs training camp kicks off in late July so Kelce can attend it in its entirety.

The exact date is still under wraps, but some are speculating the target date is somewhere around June 22.

Many around the NFL expect the 2026 season to be Kelce's last.

The 36-year-old recently signed a one-year, $12 million deal with the Chiefs that could be worth as much as $15 million if Kelce hits certain performance incentives. SI.com Albert Breer referred to the contract as a "farewell deal" offered by the team to reward Kelce for his commitment to the franchise.

"First, as a rule, they don't do void years, but they used the 50% rule and a post-June 1 mechanism in 2027 to spread the cap damage out over three years," Breer stated. "Second, the $3 million in incentives are attainable.
"If the Chiefs make the playoffs, he'll get $750,000 at 60% playing time, $1 million at 70% playing time or $2 million at 80% playing time. If they get to the Super Bowl, he'll get another $250,000 at 60% playing time, or $1 million at 70% playing time."

Because Kelce and Swift will soon be married, many believe next season will be his swan song. He's already won four Super Bowl championships, made 11 Pro Bowls, is a seven-time All-Pro selection, and is a member of the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team -- so he really has nothing left to prove.
